There is something good in every circumstance.
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are
honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure,
whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if
there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
PHILIPPIANS 4:8
(KJV)
Everyday
there is a reason to be sad, angry, mad, or upset. Innocent people are
dying, bills are due, and pandemics continue to spread. The enemy is
real and they have no need to sleep. At the same time, everyday there is
a reason to be happy, filled with the fruits of the Spirit, smiling,
thankful, excited, peaceful, and delighted. God is real. Christ Jesus is
real. The Holy Spirit and the Angels are real and God’s family do not
have a need to sleep either. Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week
(24/7), God and His Holy family works on our behalf.
Accept God in all situations. Find love in every circumstance. Expect
triumph in all struggles! If you stump your toe instead of thinking
“ouch,” think, “At least it’s not broken.” Instead of thinking, “I don’t
want to go to work.” Think, “I got a job. I am being responsible.”
Instead of thinking, “The enemy gets on my nerves.” Think, “Thank you
Lord for my adoption into the glorious Kingdom of GOD.”
As Christians, we must always think positively, and expect God to be in
charge of EVERY situation we experience. God loves His family. It’s the
enemy that wants us to choose ungodly feelings, emotions, and decisions.
Condemnation is not of GOD! “There is therefore now no condemnation
to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but
after the Spirit.” Romans 8:1 As Christians, we must REMIND each
other, (“Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in
remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in
the present truth.” 2 Peter 1:12), of our choice, expectation and
power which lies in CHRIST JESUS.

Whatever we do and whatever we say, do it and say it for the Lord.
Such
a commitment keeps us faithful in Christian living.
“Be
faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.”
REVELATION 2:10 (RSV)
It
is important
that we be
faithful to the Lord in our thoughts, words, motives, actions and in our
relationships with each other. Many times when we speak, the words that
come out of our mouths are far from the truth. We may harbor bitterness
in our hearts, but we choose to speak with sweet words. (Ephesians
4:31) To keep our thoughts pure and clean need constant exercise on
our part. Our motives must be held in check to see whether they are
right or wrong. It is even possible to do the right things, but with the
wrong motives. True spiritual life can only result when we are open to
the conviction and correction of the Holy Spirit. (2 Timothy 3:16)
Faithfulness to the Word of God in all aspects of our life will bring
its own reward, which is the crown of life reserved for the deserving
ones. (Matthew 25:21) Keeping God at the center of our life,
adhering strictly to His teaching and remaining obedient to Him means
living a life of commitment to the Lord. This in turn builds up our
faith in Him and creates a quality of life where He becomes real. Faith
then becomes alive and vital. Thus drawing from His provision of
strength, love and grace allows us to remain dedicated to Him.
Also by keeping ourselves disciplined in our prayer life, we can perform
our God-given responsibilities faithfully. (Luke 21:36) This will
give our life a meaningful and constructive purpose with a sense of
values that are true. Every effort to be faithful in everything for the
Lord will then become a privilege.

Jesus finishes the works He begins in us; by
faith in Him, not in ourselves.
“For
in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed,
a Righteousness that
is by FAITH FROM FIRST TO LAST,
just as it is written “the righteous
will live by Faith.”
ROMANS 1:17 (NIV, modified)
H ere
Paul
is talking about Righteousness. I want to focus on
Grace. Every person that receives Salvation, comes to God entirely by
Grace. Each person comes to the knowledge of forgiveness and pardon from
God solely on Christ's sacrifice for sin. We admit “I am without any
ability on my own to be saved from hell or God's judgment.” “I cannot
pay the debt I owe.” “Lord save me.” We become born again through this gift. The problem often with many Christians is, after receiving
salvation, we turn to our own abilities and strengths to finish the work
which Christ has begun. We often forget that we are sanctified (made
Holy) by the gift of Grace too. Paul talked about this in
Galatians 3:3. “After beginning with the spirit are you now trying to
attain your goal through human effort?"
To illustrate, it is like a paraplegic being told “You have to run in
this marathon.” So there he is sitting on the ground at the start line
of the race. He knows it is impossible for him to even start, let alone
finish the race. And then someone else there, who happens to be last
year's winner says to him, “How would you like me to carry you through
the race?” The man is so happy that someone is nice enough to do this
for him. So he gladly accepts. So they start the race, the man who
cannot walk is enjoying the ride, looking at the scenery going past him.
Then after 2 or 3 miles he says to his helper, “Put me down now. I think
I can finish the race on my own.” Now what is going to happen? The man
is going to go nowhere, isn't he?
Someone might ask, “If we are saved and also made holy, both by the
gift of God's Grace; what is our part to play?" We are to put our faith
solely in Christ's power, to do the work! We are to trust that He will
clean out our hearts. That He will save us from ungodly desires, that He
will change our natures into His. Jeremiah 17:5 talks about a
curse that comes on people when they trust in flesh, or the arm of man
to save them. Which of course would include trusting in our own
abilities, too. But in Jeremiah 17:7 it also declares "Blessed
is the man who trusts in the Lord." Romans says, God's Righteousness
is begun in our lives by Christ and is also finished in our lives by
Christ, through our faith in Him.

Put away lying as a Christian.
“Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his
neighbour:
for we are members one of another.”
EPHESIANS 4:25
(KJV)
It is the desire of God
that we always speak the truth. Truthfulness is one quality
that God loves. The Bible specifically mentions a “lying
tongue” as one of the six things that the Lord hates.
Proverbs 6:16-17: “These six things doth the
Lord hate; yea, seven are an abomination unto Him. A
proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent
blood.”
Telling the truth may not always seem
easy, but believe me, it pays off in the long run. People tell
lies for different reasons. Some out of fear of punishment,
others out of plain deception. No matter the excuse or the
pressure you may face to tell a lie, refuse to do it. Train
yourself to tell the truth. Ephesians 4:29: “Let no
corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which
is good to the use of edifying that it may minister grace unto
the hearers.”
You don’t need to cry or even ask God to
take it way from you. The opening scripture says, “Wherefore
putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour.”
He didn’t say “pray to God to take away telling lies from your
life.” He says, “put it away.” Before you were born
again, you did not have the ability to stop telling lies and
tell truth instead. This was because the old nature of sin was
in control.
Now that you are born again, it is
possible now to tell yourself, “I will tell the truth,” and go
ahead and do it. 1 Peter 3:10 “For he that will love life,
and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his
lips that they speak no guile.”

Physical Growth is a matter of time;
Intellectual Growth is a matter of knowledge,
while Spiritual Growth
depends most of all on our level of obedience to the Lord.
“And
if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye
will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the
other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye
dwell: BUT AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD.”
JOSHUA 24:15 (KJV, modified)
Joshua
had something unusual about him. I believe the Lord chose
him, because He knew Joshua, like Abraham, would “command his
children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the
Lord” (Genesis 18:19). He was a great warrior, and yet – a profound
worshipper. The Bible says that when Moses was leaving the Tabernacle
after a long day of being in God’s Presence and judging the people,
Joshua - his servant - remained in the Tabernacle.
Joshua loved the Presence of the Lord. He knew God so personally,
that he was able to lead an entire people in their Promised Land,
overtaking the enemy completely. Nothing could stop him – not even the
SUN. He was like David – a mighty man of war and a humble seeker of the
Lord at the same time. He was like Daniel – an incredibly wise leader
and a committed servant of His Lord at the same time. He was also like
Joseph – a gifted ruler and a symbol of God’s Salvation at the same
time.
We are all called by the Lord to seek Him and find Him in such a deep
way, that we are able to trust Him for our whole family (AS FOR ME
AND MY HOUSE, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD), as well as for all else He
places under our care. Now, that’s a challenge! Are you ready to take
it?

We must choose between false and real love,
so
that we can experience what the Will of God is, for our lives.
“Do not love the world or anything in the world.
If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For
everything in the world -- the cravings of sinful man, the lust of the
eyes and the boasting of what he has and does -- comes not from the
Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the
man who does the will of God lives forever.”
1 JOHN 2:15-17 (NIV)
The
Love of God the Father is not in anyone whose desires are for
the material things in the world, and whose thoughts and eyes are
constantly dwelling upon the evil cravings of unregenerated or sinful
man. (1 John 2:16)
Everyone needs material things, but no one needs to be blinded by the
material things, or the evil cravings or by the lust of the eyes, which
causes one to sink deeper into sin.
1. The
Love of God is imperative. 2. The Will of God is imperative.
Here is the great exchange!
You were born to win. God made this possible when He sent His Son Jesus
to pay the sacrifice of your sin and mine; when He suffered and gave His
life in death on the Cross. Christ's death on the Cross was payment for
our sins, that we should choose, and accept Christ and His love, and His
will for our lives.
The world and its desires comes to a losing end, (1 John 2: 17),
while the Will of God in you will live on, even into eternity. It is a
choice you must make. You either win or lose depending on your choice.
God's Will is for you to make the right choice, to do His Will and live
forever. (1 John 2:17)

What makes life difficult is not the presence of
problems but the absence of God.
"And
do not (for a moment) be frightened or intimidated in anything by your
opponents and adversaries, for such (constancy and fearlessness) will be
a clear sign (proof and seal) to them of (their impending) destruction;
but (a sure token and evidence) of your deliverance and salvation, and
that from God.”
PHILIPPIANS 1:28 (Amplified)
M en
and women
who made headlines, were ordinary people who
decided to attempt great things with the supernatural power of God which
comes on their ordinary attempts to make them super-ordinary. They know
they must fight. They know to fight is not enough, but they must win.
They have 3 characteristics.
1. Be People of Courage. Courage is an act of determination and
stickability (persistence, perseverance). Courage does not mean there is
no obstacle. The enemies (of God) will always be there. But a person of
courage keeps on going, enemy or no enemy. You cannot win in this season
without courage. Every man's life has seasons. God has a place and an
assignment for us, no matter our season in life. You and I will always
be needed by someone. (Isaiah 41:6) Respond to this need today with courage.
Deuteronomy 31:6; Psalm 31:24
2. Be Conscious of His Presence. They are people who are
conscious of God's presence. You cannot pass through the shadows of life
alone. You cannot confront any obstacle without God as your Source.
University certificate or Diploma becomes impotent at the presence of a
mountain. Go out today with the consciousness of God's presence.
Joshua 1:9; Hebrews 13:5
3. Know God Fights with Us. They know God will fight for them.
God is the one who marks life’s scripts, not your enemy or His enemies.
As Born-again Christians, we can confront the enemy (our enemies and the
enemies of God) knowing it is God who fights for us.

NO GREATER LOVE!!!
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for
his friends.”
JOHN 15:13 (KJV)
This
scripture reminds me of an encounter that changed my life and
value for souls, bringing me closer to the heart of Jesus Christ and the
type of love He has to die for people who never loved Him. I visited the
mission field where by God’s grace, a church was planted among a group
of rural destitute, outcasts and drug addicts and even robbers under my
leadership; to the clear the bush.
On entering the village, I met a crowd that surrounded a young teenager
(Musa) who attends our services; accused of stealing. He happened to be
my first convert in that barbaric village. He was being mobbed almost to
death with clubs, machetes and other weapons. When he sighted me, he
cried out loudly, “Pastor, I’m dying for what I do not know about, in
innocence.” This he said three times. This cry broke my heart and bones.
I could not bear to see him die, so I shouted aloud at the crowd saying,
“Please stop beating him. Take him to the police.” They furiously turned
on me, giving me bruises and wounds. A village woman in the crowd
shouted, “He’s a PASTOR.” They stopped.
I retired to a solitary place and asked God, “Father, is this what it
takes to save souls?” The answer was swift, “Yes, it takes a heart so
compassionate to love and to die, in order to save a soul. If you did
not speak, the boy would die. Such I went through on the cross for your
sins to be cleansed.” The boy was eventually sentenced awaiting trial
for nine months in the prison. My leaders asked me to steer clear and
allow the boy to suffer alone. God granted me grace to pursue the case.
I was sure he was innocent. While in the prison he learned the scripture
deeply, which he couldn’t before. And he became an Evangelist among the
inmates. He became stronger in the Lord Jesus Christ. He told me that he
kept on thinking about why they had beat me because of him. This broke
him to fully decide to live for Jesus Christ. He was acquitted--not
guilty.
The unconditional love of God is all we need to live in these times of
trial and temptation. It gladdens my heart to know I serve an
Over-Ever-Loving God; when He forgives, He forgets all past iniquities.
Every Christian is called to live for God wherever we are and to show a
greater commitment of love to see people liberated from the shackle of
sin. Love is not a choice but a call; a duty to perform. It is only love
that determines our level of obedience to Christ and how ready we are to
see His kingdom come. Love unconditionally expressed to make others
better without counting the cost is the true and most important key that
unlocks the very gates of Heaven and draws us intimately into God’s
Heart. My heart is stirred-up by love, as I am loved of Christ who takes
sin away.

Worship the Lord.
“How can I repay the Lord for all His goodness
to me?”
PSALM 116:12 (NIV)
A
newly married young woman removed her ring from her finger
and laid it in the church offering bag. After the service the Pastor
searched her out to commend her and return the ring, explaining the
offering had been larger than needed. The woman looked up and said, “I
didn’t give the ring to you, but to the Lord.”
The lady teaches us two important lessons:
First, true giving is sacrificial. True giving is
sacrificial, in gratitude for the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ on
the cross. “He died for all, that those who live should no longer
live for themselves, but for Him who died for us and who was raised
again.” 2Corinthians 5:15
“Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him,
Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou
hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in
heaven: and come, follow me.” Luke 18:22 True giving means
giving our lives to Christ.
Second, a heart full of thanks and praise of God is the
answer to the question posed by our text: “How can I repay the Lord
for all His goodness to me?” The Psalmist continues, “I will
sacrifice a thank offering to you and call on the Name of the LORD.”
Psalm 116:17
It is a God-pleasing act of worship when we devote our lives, our time,
our talents, and our treasures to the Lord. It pleases God when our love
reaches a place of sacrifice, as did the young lady in the touching
story.

Anything is possible, if you can only believe.
“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all
things are possible to him that believeth.”
MARK 9:23 (KJV)
nything is
possible,
if you can only believe. There's nothing you cannot achieve and
nothing is impossible for you to get. All you need is to respond to
God through His word and Spirit.
A man brought his demon possessed son to Jesus. He had probably
taken the boy for the best medical treatment, but to no avail. He
had tried his best but his son’s condition persisted. After he had
related the pathetic story, he turned to Jesus and pleaded, "If
you can do anything, have compassion and help us." Jesus replied,
“If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."
Luke: 1:37 – “For with God nothing shall
be impossible.”
Before you can make a change in your situation, you have to believe
what the Word says about the situation first.
Mental accent may get you excited and hopeful, but it won't cause
you to respond to God's Word. Faith however, is the response of the
human spirit to the Word of God. There's no doubt the man with the
demon possessed son was hopeful, otherwise he would not have brought
his son to Jesus to be delivered. Hope and faith are not the same.
God doesn't have to do for you what He has done for others. He can
do a new thing in your life. Isaiah: 43:19 - Behold, I will do a
new thing, now it shall spring forth, shall ye not know it? I will
even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”
If you can only believe His Word. You do not have to suffer: respond
to God by acting on His word today. It's not over yet until God says
it is over.

God Has Ordered Your Direction, Your Footsteps…
Stay Focused, Avoid Distractions, Keep Your Eyes
on Jesus.
“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from
whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven
and earth. He will no suffer they foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee
will not slumber.”
PSALM 121:1-3 (KJV)
Stay
Focused. My brothers and sisters in the faith, there are
times the way(s) get very hard. Though you are doing everything that you
believe is pleasing to God, things seem to be going in the wrong
direction. Maybe someone is spreading lies about you, or your car keeps
breaking down, or there are a million things going wrong all at once.
“He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in
the LORD.” Psalm 112:7
We often think: “What did I do wrong?” “What did I say wrong?” “How did
I anger God?” Even if we do make a mistake remember: “For a just man
falleth seven times, and riseth up again:” Proverb 24:16
We may feel like we don’t have anyone to turn to. Remember not to lose
focus. Focus on God. You can lift up your head to the hills which cometh
your help. Your help cometh from the Lord. Stay focused on God and He
will bring you through whatever you are going through. Man sometimes
will let you down. But God will never let you down. He will give you the
right direction when you stay focused on Him. “The steps of a good
man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighted in his way.” Psalm 37:23
Don’t look to the left nor look to the right. He is your help. “God
is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1
The main thing is to say focused on God. Know that you can call on Him
in the middle of the night. He hears you and He will give you your
desires and give you the right direction(s) for what you have to do.
“In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.”
Proverbs 3:6 God loves you.
