There is something good in every circumstance.

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."

PHILIPPIANS 4:8 (KJV)

Everyday there is a reason to be sad, angry, mad, or upset. Innocent people are dying, bills are due, and pandemics continue to spread. The enemy is real and they have no need to sleep. At the same time, everyday there is a reason to be happy, filled with the fruits of the Spirit, smiling, thankful, excited, peaceful, and delighted. God is real. Christ Jesus is real. The Holy Spirit and the Angels are real and God’s family do not have a need to sleep either. Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week (24/7), God and His Holy family works on our behalf.

Accept God in all situations. Find love in every circumstance. Expect triumph in all struggles! If you stump your toe instead of thinking “ouch,” think, “At least it’s not broken.” Instead of thinking, “I don’t want to go to work.” Think, “I got a job. I am being responsible.” Instead of thinking, “The enemy gets on my nerves.” Think, “Thank you Lord for my adoption into the glorious Kingdom of GOD.”

As Christians, we must always think positively, and expect God to be in charge of EVERY situation we experience. God loves His family. It’s the enemy that wants us to choose ungodly feelings, emotions, and decisions. Condemnation is not of GOD! “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” Romans 8:1 As Christians, we must REMIND each other, (“Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.” 2 Peter 1:12), of our choice, expectation and power which lies in CHRIST JESUS.

Today's eBlessing for You!

The Prayer of Faith.  Beloved Brothers and Sisters and Children of Christ, I command this blessing upon you now. Father Eli in the name of Emmanuel, our Saviour, according to Your Words Father and the Words of Jesus in the Holy Scriptures (Luke 10:19; Matthew 16:19; 18:19) give right now to those called by the name of Christ what they have been praying for, what is in their hearts, what is in their minds, and all things which they desire which is in accordance for Your Will Father Eli for the Kingdom of Heaven. Thank You for this Father and Emmanuel, so the Father may be glorified. I love You and our Holy Family for helping Us in all things. Amen.

This prayer applies to the saved. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture." John 10:9  This is how to make your prayers work for you. 1) If you have unforgiveness in your heart (mind, soul, body) towards anyone or anything, you must forgive them.  Forgive them by giving it to Jesus and allow it to hang on His Cross. Forgive them by being positive about the issue (Count it all joy. (James 1:2)); and let it go. Then tell your Heavenly Father or your Heavenly Brother Jesus that you have forgiven them.  2) You must ask your Heavenly Father (in the Name of Jesus: Emmanuel) for forgiveness of your sins, knowing He loves you enough to forgive you of your sins, no matter what they are. (Psalm 102:12)  3) You must have this Divine Knowledge.

When you are “saved,” you are not only saved, you are made whole, you are protected, you are preserved, you are healed, and you are delivered.  The Greek word for “saved” means all those things; therefore when our Saviour Jesus died on the Cross for us, when He completed His Mission, He did all of those things and more.  It stands to reason, that if you know this and believe this, you should put this into practice.  “42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.” Luke 18    The Prayer of Faith.

Whatever we do and whatever we say, do it and say it for the Lord.

Such a commitment keeps us faithful in Christian living.

“Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life”.
REVELATION 2:10
(RSV)

It is important that we be faithful to the Lord in our thoughts, words, motives, actions and in our relationships with each other. Many times when we speak, the words that come out of our mouths are far from the truth. We may harbor bitterness in our hearts but we choose to speak with sweet words. (Ephesians 4:31) To keep our thoughts pure and clean need constant exercise on our part. Our motives must be held in check to see whether they are right or wrong. It is even possible to do the right things but with the wrong motives. True spiritual life can only result when we are open to the conviction and correction of the Holy Spirit. (2 Timothy 3:16)

Faithfulness to the Word of God in all aspects of our life will bring its own reward, which is the crown of life reserved for the deserving ones. (Matthew 25:21) Keeping God at the center of our life, adhering strictly to His teaching and remaining obedient to Him means living a life of commitment to the Lord. This in turn builds up our faith in Him and creates a quality of life where He becomes real. Faith then becomes alive and vital. Thus drawing from His provision of strength, love and grace allows us to remain dedicated to Him.

Also by keeping ourselves disciplined in our prayer life, we can perform our God-given responsibilities faithfully. (Luke 21:36) This will give our life a meaningful and constructive purpose with a sense of values that are true. Every effort to be faithful in everything for the Lord will then become a privilege.

Jesus finishes the works He begins in us; by faith in Him, not in ourselves.

“For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a Righteousness that is by FAITH FROM FIRST TO LAST, just as it is written “the righteous will live by Faith.”

ROMANS 1:17 (NIV, modified)

Here Paul is talking about Righteousness. I want to focus on Grace. Every person that receives Salvation, comes to God entirely by Grace. Each person comes to the knowledge of forgiveness and pardon from God solely on Christ's sacrifice for sin. We admit “I am without any ability on my own to be saved from hell or God's judgment.” “I cannot pay the debt I owe.” “Lord save me.” We become born again through this gift. The problem often with many Christians is, after receiving salvation, we turn to our own abilities and strengths to finish the work which Christ has begun. We often forget that we are sanctified (made Holy) by the gift of Grace too. Paul talked about this in Galatians 3:3. “After beginning with the spirit are you now trying to attain your goal through human effort?"

To illustrate, it is like a paraplegic being told “You have to run in this marathon.” So there he is sitting on the ground at the start line of the race. He knows it is impossible for him to even start, let alone finish the race. And then someone else there, who happens to be last year's winner says to him, “How would you like me to carry you through the race?” The man is so happy that someone is nice enough to do this for him. So he gladly accepts. So they start the race, the man who cannot walk is enjoying the ride, looking at the scenery going past him. Then after 2 or 3 miles he says to his helper, “Put me down now. I think I can finish the race on my own.” Now what is going to happen? The man is going to go nowhere, isn't he?

Someone might ask, “If we are saved and also made holy, both by the gift of God's Grace; what is our part to play?" We are to put our faith solely in Christ's power, to do the work! We are to trust that He will clean out our hearts. That He will save us from ungodly desires, that He will change our natures into His. Jeremiah 17:5 talks about a curse that comes on people when they trust in flesh, or the arm of man to save them. Which of course would include trusting in our own abilities, too. But in Jeremiah 17:7 it also declares "Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord." Romans says, God's Righteousness is begun in our lives by Christ and is also finished in our lives by Christ, through our faith in Him.

What people forget is the company for which they work have a vision, and if the company is a producer of evil; then the employee becomes an accomplice to that vision and its evil.

A2

When you see "Jesus Christ" together like this, red flags should go up. Christ was not the last name of Jesus. It should go: "Jesus, who is the Christ."

.

This is a clue to the presence and/or influence of the anti-christ, its spirit, or its power in institutions.

A3

Mystery Revealed

Jesus did not lie when He said, He would never leave us. The Spirit of Christ is always with us. Jesus went to Heaven, and Christ stayed behind. The anti-christ does not want you to know this. Pray about it.

B 1

Spiritual Key

Jesus is God. Christ is God. The Holy Spirit (Spirit =Tetragrammaton), the Holy Ghost (Ghost = Tetragrammaton) is God. Jesus was a flesh man and He is God. What does that speak to you?

C1

The indictment against people (to let you know if you are ready for the Return of Jesus) is: people are not in a hurry or excited about going to Heaven right now.

C2

Most American (Tetragrammaton) Christians see themselves as the New Israel, whereas many Christians from other countries and other people in the know, see the United States (States = Tetragrammaton) as the New Babylon (Babylon = Tetragrammaton).

C3

Christians must stop playing "Bo-Bo the Clown" and get serious. People are dying. Children are dying. Stop worrying about that new addition to the house or new car, etc. and get busy for the LORD!

Global warming shows us as a planet the results of our living in sin and being outside the Will of God.

People will do things to you that they will not tell you about before hand (before it happens). Their actions tell you what they may do if you watch them. People's actions will often speak before their words do. Look-n-listen. Watch-n-pray.

Life: we are all in this together.

“And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread. And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually. Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither.”

2 KINGS 4:8-10 (KJV)

Becoming a blessing to God's servants. The woman from Shunem built more than a spare bedroom that day. She was a true giver, a generous soul. Have you realized that God is doing a new thing in Africa, and that the power and move of God is here? In spite of the difficulties, starvation, and famine the ministers and servants of God are going through. But if you can get connected to one of us and be a blessing unto us, it will indeed come back to you.

The woman was great, but there was something significant that was lacking in her life. She was struggling with the issue of child and the situation was desperate because her husband was old. Until she got connected and gave the servant of God a place to rest, there was no rest in her life. There are lots of power and revelations that God has given unto us and I believe that’s why he has connected us to the eBlessings family, so that you may tap in the anointing of God.

Have you ever thought of Abraham on a hot summer's afternoon, when he saw three men approaching the tent where he sat? Immediately he welcomed them, urging them to rest and refresh themselves. Abraham had a servant's heart; asking three complete strangers to rest in the shade of a tree and bring water to bathe their feet. Then he ran back to his tent and asked his wife to prepare food while he selected a fine calf for the meal (Genesis 18:2-5).

As I speak to you now, I have been going through lot of difficulties, tribulations, and many times without food on our table, not to talk about medication, and we need your water to cool our tastes and wash our feet, as the journey of life is so tense and your abundance can indeed be a breakthrough in our lives and ministries.

It was the service that Abraham rendered to those strangers that released Isaac unto him. Your abundance could be our needs today. Be a family to those who are victims to life circumstances and the Lord will increase your blessings. The Lord bless you as you follow biblical principles. Give and it will be given unto you, good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over shall men give into your bosom (Luke 6:38).

T

he Haircut.  One day a florist went to a barber for a haircut. After the cut, he asked about his bill, and the barber replied, 'I cannot accept money from you , I'm doing community service this week.' The florist was pleased and left the shop.

When the barber went to open his shop the next morning, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen roses waiting for him at his door.

Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from you , I'm doing community service this week.' The cop was happy and left the shop.

The next morning when the barber went to open up, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen donuts waiting for him at his door.

Then a Congressman came in for a haircut, and when he went to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I can not accept money from you. I'm doing community service this week.' The Congressman was very happy and left the shop.

The next morning, when the barber went to open up, there were a dozen Congressmen lined up waiting for a free haircut.

And that, my friends, illustrates the fundamental difference between the citizens of our country and the politicians who run it.

BOTH POLITICIANS AND DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON!

John 10:9  This is how to make your prayers work for you.

Give Mom More this Mother's Day...Make it a Memorable Month!

by Dr. Torri L. Griffin, LPC

Part One

As the old adage says, "It is more blessed to give than to receive." Happy Mother's Day to all those who do and who have mothered anyone on any level--from a child to a pet--during their lifetime. Thank you for your love and dedication to the nurturing development of another life outside of your own. You do work that can never truly be comprehended by those who have received from you. May you be blessed all the days of your life.

After all, where would we be without mothers? They are a force of nature, constantly doing the unseen for the unknowing, in the name of preparing the young, inexperienced and growing, for a time yet to be seen--that will inevitably come--for which they must show up. How they do it the world may never know. But one thing is for sure, we have all been touched in some way by a mother.

Now, let me be clear. Not all mothers are created equal. Moms range from the image of June Cleaver of Leave it to Beaver to the character, Mary (played by Mo'Nique) in the movie, Precious. Regardless of where your mom lands on the scale between the two, there are good and not so good things she did during your lifetime that have combined to make you who you are. So Mother's Day may not be a time of great celebration for everyone but it can become a time of great reflection.

When it comes to celebrating and reflecting on Mother's Day, I'd like to introduce three gifts that have the power to improve these significant relationships. Consider them whether your mother lives upstairs or somewhere across the country...or beyond. You can use this month to make a difference between you that will really last.

The first is the gift of the APOLOGY. Somewhere along the path of your life, something was said or done...by, around or through your mother, that hurt you deeply.  Yes, that's life, but some of those things had the power to separate you from her to the point that you may not be speaking this Mother's Day. Yes, it was wrong. Yes, it changed things, and yes, you get to choose whether or not she gets to be a part of your life. As a matter of fact, she probably owes YOU the apology. But consider this. Your response to that pain may have created a little pain, too. You may be guilty of inflicting harm on some level, too. You may have misrepresented the truth or misplaced something or avoided a situation. Surely you will be able to unearth something, no matter how small.

Whether it happened when you were six or 56, an apology never loses its power. They are just as potent today as they would have been if delivered many years ago. This is where you have an opportunity to clear the air and really give a Mother's Day gift that will be remembered for a long time. Offer an apology for something that happened between you. Call it a confession or start off with, "Remember that time...well, I'm sorry I...and didn't admit it...I was wrong." You can even apologize for something that someone else did that was wrong and say, "You know, it was really wrong for so and so to do what they did to you. I'm sorry it happened. You deserved better."

You will be AMAZED at the impact of something so simple yet so intimate. You have the power of connection in your hands. The apology can soothe pain that has existed beneath the surface for years. Try it and send me the results.

Give Mom More this Mother's Day...Make it a Memorable Month!

by Dr. Torri L. Griffin, LPC

Part Two

As the old adage says, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."

Happy Mother's Day to all those who do and who have mothered anyone on any level--from a child to a pet--during their lifetime. Thank you for your love and dedication to the nurturing development of another life outside of your own. You do work that can never truly be comprehended by those who have received from you. May you be blessed all the days of your life. (CONTINUING)

The second is the gift of GRATITUDE. Every mom, even those who missed the mark, did SOMETHING right. This is your opportunity to recognize that unseen realm that mothers work so hard in. Come up with something to say to your mother for Mother's Day that really connects the dots. Tell her how thankful you are that she made you eat your vegetables when you were young, because now you realize how healthy you are because of it.

Thank her for making you do your homework throughout elementary and high school since you now have such a strong work ethic that you can see that your success in life is linked to that good habit. Be creative and tell her how good a mom or dad you are because of the way she always ________. It will warm her heart and satisfy a place that no store-bought gift can. Try it and let me know if it works.

The third and most powerful is the gift of FORGIVENESS. Releasing your mother from the things she did wrong is probably the best gift you can give. This gift blesses both the giver AND the receiver. Forgiving her not only has the power to reconnect you, but it actually frees you from the insidious curse of hurting others in the same way that you feel/felt hurt by her. Let me explain. Let's say that you felt rejected by your mother because she abandoned you as a child. You never forgave her for that. You tell the story again and again and continue to feel the pain years after the offense occurred.

Now you have children of your own and you work 90 hours a week to provide for them but you never get to see them perform or play sports. Guess what? They may accuse you of rejecting or abandoning them. Yes. They may feel that same pain since your face isn't in the audience watching them do what they do. Sure, they have food and shelter (definitely necessary for life) but they are missing out on connecting with you the same way you missed out on connecting with your mother. Release yourself from this cycle. Offer the gift of forgiveness.

Lesson 21 from My Little Book of Wisdom, Volume 1: 52 Lessons I've Learned from Living Life, by Dr. Torri L. Griffin (another great gift available at www.LoveLivingLife.com/shop) says this,

[Moms] make the best decisions they can with the current information they have.

Once new information is obtained, [a mom's] original decision may change, and that's okay. It's okay for [a mom to learn something new and] change her mind.

In other words, most moms do the best they can with what they have. They make decisions for the family based on circumstances, resource and personal beliefs. In some cases, things work out fine, but in others...not so much. In any case, see her through compassion's eyes and trust that she wasn't perfect but she did her best.

This year, let your Mother's Day gift count. Forget those Mother's Day cards with the flowery words that don't fit your situation. Give a gift from the heart that tells your mom how much you appreciate and understand her. Even if your mother is just a memory; honor that memory by telling someone close to you what you wish you could tell her. Use the powers of Apology, Gratitude and Forgiveness. These gifts are certainly blessed for both the giver and the receiver and they have the power to last not just a day or month, but an entire lifetime.

EXCERPT FROM IJAC?: IS JESUS A CRACKHEAD?

DOC copy for a friend

PDF copy for a friend

CHAPTER

16

Walking with Christ Jesus Daily

“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. “                Galatians 5:1

Life is about not being bound by the Old Testament covenant, but being free in the New Testament covenant, Jesus Christ. Galatians 5:1 is quite appropriate for this chapter—not being tangled up with your old self, but in a new relationship in Christ.

satan. Words have power. Don’t give the enemies of God any power, any time, anywhere. Don’t give satan any respect. Don’t give him any time, not a moment.

Keep his name a lower case “s,” a little “s.” Because that is all he is, a little “h” (he, heathen), a little “s” (satan), and a little “d” (devil, demon). He walks around like a lion—not like a huge, powerful, beast of the wild (elephant, tiger, hippopotamus, or rhino), but he’s just a little cat; “meow, meow.” This is an exaggeration, but you get the picture.

The devil can do to you only what you allow him to do to you and what God allows him to do to you. Do not allow him to do anything to you or your family.

Heavenly Hierarchy. Let me share with you what the Holy Spirit shared with me about the Heavenly Hierarchy. This is powerful—do not ever forget this.   In church one day, the Bishop of the church said that he was going to teach us how to be empowered in the LORD. He went on to say, “increase the amount you give in your tithes and offerings and you will be empowered.” My spirit knew that was not correct. So I asked Jesus to show me how to empower people and how to be empowered.

A few days later in my study of the Bible, the Holy Spirit directed me to this scripture:

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places.”

Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV)

Spiritually, I focused on the Heavenly Hierarchy: Father God, Yahweh (the Creator of all), His Son, Christ Jesus, Emmanuel (Saviour of the world) and the Holy Ghost (the Comforter, the Holy Spirit of God). Then I thought about the opposite of that, the evil hierarchy (or evil lowerarchy): satan (leader of evil in the world) (Revelation 12:9), the antichrist (spirit of anti-Christ) (1 John 2:18, 4:30), and the beast (Revelation 11:7, 13:1) (representing world systems).

My focus was on the Hierarchy and lowerarchy because the word “principalities” stood out in the Ephesians passage; and in an effort to place the entity in a power hierarchy, I searched for hierarchies in the Bible. I then asked my pastor what the principalities of God were. The answer was: “We are the principalities of God.” I didn’t buy that one. I could tell the question caught him off guard and the Holy Spirit in me did not bear witness to his answer.

I asked another pastor the question and he told me: “God does not have principalities. Principalities are evil.” My spirit bore witness to him on that but I knew in my spirit that God would have something at least equal to evil principalities.

Arch-Angels are not equal to principalities; nor are Angels—then what was, I asked the Holy Spirit? One night as I was reading my Bible, I read:

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”

Galatians 5:22-23 (NKJV)

When I finished reading this scripture, it was as though I hadn’t read it. So I read it again, because I knew in my heart, (my spiritual heart, not to be confused with emotions or feelings) that I had missed something. I have learned, when I am reading something or doing something and I do not remember reading it or doing it, that the Holy Spirit or an Angel is with me, illuminating me to see something specific or to do something specific, that I didn’t see or do the first time. I have learned to ask them to let me see the spiritual or do the spiritual through “spiritual” eyes (vision) or “spiritual” feet (direction). So I read it again.

This time as I read it, the Holy Spirit let me see in my mind’s eye an apple tree. In my spirit, I knew the apple tree represented the Holy Spirit. And the scripture said, “the fruit of the Spirit…,” so I knew the fruits of the Spirit were the apples on the tree. And I believe that the fruits of the Spirit are the next level down on the Heavenly Hierarchy. “Love” is one of the fruits of the Spirit. Well I know that the scripture says, “God is love.”

“He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”

               1 John 4:8 (NKJV)

So now I equate “love” as not only a word, not only a fruit of the Spirit (Holy Spirit) being under the Holy Spirit in the Heavenly Hierarchy, but “Love” as being a powerful entity bearing the characteristics and attributes of God.

Love is one of the fruits of the spirit and is at least as powerful as the evil principality, but there are others, too; namely in the King James Version of the Bible: joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. The Holy Spirit allowed me to be illuminated with this mystery, this Divine Knowledge, this Divine Wisdom of the authorities of God. I refer to them as “Sovereignties” because they are sovereign, powerful, and cover great distances of time and space. When speaking about Jesus being in Heaven, the Bible refers to them as “authorities”:

“Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God: angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.”

1 Peter 3:22

The Saint Joseph “New Catholic Edition” of the Holy Bible refers to them as virtues:

“who is at the right hand of God, swallowing up death that we might be made heirs of eternal life: for he went into heaven, Angels, Powers and Virtues being made subject to him.”

1 Peter 2:22 (SJ)

I now know that there is God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Authorities, (fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22); what I will refer to as Sovereignties). Sovereignties are the opposite of evil principalities. Now we approach the part of this equation where mankind comes in. Under Sovereignties in the Heavenly Hierarchy, let us say, Arch-Angels, and then Angels. Under evil principalities, let us say, there are powers and demons.

For the sake of this discussion, we will not group: spiritual wickedness in high places, rulers of darkness of this world, or a host of other evil entities. Nor will we discuss or include: powers, thrones, Dominions, Hosts, Acons, or a host of good entities.

The question is where does man come into the picture?  Where does man fit into the Heavenly Hierarchy? People say, we are a little lower than Angels or we are just above the Angels. What does the Bible say?

“For thou hast made him a little lower than angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.”

                   Psalm 8:5

This is what satan would have you believe and to hold on to. Give me a minute here and I will break it down for you. Stay with me. Where does satan belong in the evil hierarchy (lowerarchy)? You say at the top—opposite God? Right? WRONG! That is a big WRONG!

What was satan when he was in Heaven? He was an Arch-Angel. Where do Arch-Angels rank? Below fruits of the Spirit; Sovereignties and Authorities. Okay, so now you know that he is not equal to God on the hierarchy playing field. His whole hierarchy (lowerarchy) scale is to be shifted down in our hearts and minds.

Now, let me ask you again. Where does man fit into this equation? A little lower than Angels is for those members of mankind who do not believe and serve God through Jesus Christ. For believers, the Bible says:

“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.”

               1 John 3:1n 3:1

We are the sons and daughters of the Lord God Almighty. (Romans 8:19; Galatians 4:6; Philemon 2:15; 1 John 3:2) Jesus is our brother. God is our Father. When we are not saved, we are a little lower than the Angels. But when we are saved, then we are above the Arch-Angels and on the same level as Jesus, being children of God.

Now you see why I said remember this. Satan wants us to think that he is all-powerful and has dominion over us. He does not. He is our footstool. (Psalm 110:1; Matthew 22:44) We are above him in the hierarchy of God’s Creation. We have to remember that and walk with that. Live with that knowledge in your heart.

CHAPTER

TWENTY

EIGHT

Jesus at the Mount of Olives to Pray; Gethsemane

39 AND he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him. (Luke)  32 And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, (Mark)  36 Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.  37 And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee (Matthew) 33 James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and (Mark)  37 to be sorrowful and (Matthew)  33 very heavy. (Mark)  38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. (Matthew)  40 Pray that ye enter not into temptation. (Luke)

35 And he went forward a little, (Mark)   41 from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, (Luke)  39 and fell on his face, (Matthew)  35 on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.  36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; (Mark)  42 if thou be willing, (Luke)  36 take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt (Mark) 42 not my will, but thine, be done.  43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.  44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. (Luke)

(Luke 22:39-44; Mark 14:32-33, 35-36; Matthew 26:36-39)

45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow, (Luke)  37 and saith unto Peter, (Mark)  40 What, (Matthew)  37 Simon, sleepest thou? Couldest not thou (Mark)  40 watch with me one hour? (Matthew)  46 Why sleep ye? Rise, (Luke)  38 watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak. (Mark)  41 The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. (Matthew)

39 And again he went away, (Mark)  42 the second time, (Matthew)  39 and prayed, and spake the same words, (Mark)  42 saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done. (Matthew)

40 And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him. (Mark)  44 And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words. (Matthew)  41 And he cometh the third time (Mark)  45 to his disciples, (Matthew)  41 and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.  42 Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand. (Mark)

(Luke 22:45-46; Mark 14:37-42; Matthew 26:40-42, 44-45)

Judas Iscariot Betrays Jesus

43 And immediately, while he yet spake, cometh (Mark)  47 he that was called Judas, one of the twelve. (Luke)  2 And Judas also, which betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus ofttimes resorted thither with his disciples.  3 Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees (John)  43 and the scribes and the elders (Mark)  47 of the people, (Matthew)  3 cometh thither, (John)  43 and with him a great multitude, (Mark)  3 with lanterns and torches and weapons, (John)  43 swords and staves. (Mark)

4 Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye?  5 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.  6 As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.  7 Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth.  8 Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way:  9 that the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gavest me have I lost none. (John)

(Mark 14:43; Luke 22:47; Matthew 26:47; John 18:2-9)

44 And he that betrayed him had given them a token (Mark) 48 a sign, (Matthew)  44 saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, (Mark)  48 hold him fast, (Matthew)  44 and lead him away safely.  45 And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway (Mark)  47 before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him, (Luke)  45 and saith, (Mark)  49 Hail, (Matthew)  45 Master, master; and kissed him. (Mark)  50 And Jesus said unto him, (Matthew)  48 Judas, (Luke)  50 friend, wherefore art thou come? (Matthew)  48 Betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss? (Luke)  50 Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him. (Matthew)  49 When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword? (Luke)  51 And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus (Matthew)  47 that stood by, (Mark)  10 Simon Peter having a sword, (John)  51 stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, (Matthew)  10 and smote the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus. (John)

11 Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up (John)  52 again (Matthew)  11 thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it? (John)  52 For all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.  53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?  54 But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be? (Matthew)  51 And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him. (Luke)

(Mark 14:44-45, 47; Matthew 26:48-54; Luke 22:47-49, 51; John 18:10-11)

55 In that same hour (Matthew)  52 Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, (Luke) (and) 55 to the multitudes (Matthew)  52 which were come to him, (Luke)  55 Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves for to take me? (Matthew)  49 I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: (Mark)  53 ye stretched forth no hands against me: (Luke)  55 ye laid no hold on me. (Matthew)  53 But this is your hour, and the power of darkness. (Luke)  56 But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled. (Matthew)  51 And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him:  52 and he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked. (Mark)

(Matthew 26:55-56; Luke 22:52-53; Mark 14:49, 51-52)

12 Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him,  13 and led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year.  14 Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people. (John)

(John 18:12-14)

57 And they that had laid hold on Jesus (Matthew)  54 took him, and led him (Luke)  57 away to Caiaphas the high priest, (Matthew)  54 and brought him unto the high priest’s house, (Luke)  57 where (Matthew)  53 all the chief priests and (Mark)  57 the scribes and the elders were assembled. (Matthew)

(Luke 22:54; Matthew 26:57; Mark 14:53)

Peter Denies Knowing Jesus

15 AND Simon Peter followed Jesus, (John)  54 afar off, (Mark)  58 to see the end, (Matthew)  15 and so did another disciple: that disciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest.  16 But Peter stood at the door without. Then went out that other disciple, which was known unto the high priest, and spake unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter. (John)  55 And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were sat down together, Peter sat down among them. (Luke)  18 And the servants and officers stood there, who had made a fire of coals; for it was cold: and they warmed themselves: and Peter stood with them (John)  54 and warmed himself at the fire. (Mark)

66 And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest (Mark) 17 the damsel that kept the door. (John)  67 And when she saw Peter warming himself, (Mark)  56 as he sat by the fire, (Luke)  67 she (Mark)  56 earnestly looked upon him, and said, (Luke)  17 Art not thou also one of this man’s disciples? (John)  67 And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth (Mark)  69 of Galilee. (Matthew) (And she said to the others,) 56 This man was also with him. (Luke)  70 But he denied (Matthew)  57 him (Luke)  70 before them all, saying, (Matthew)  68 I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest. (Mark)  57 Woman, I know him not. (Luke)  68 And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew. (Mark)

(John 18:15-18; Mark 14:54, 66-68; Matthew 26:58, 69-70; Luke 22:55-57)

71 And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him (Matthew)  69 again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them. (Mark)  71 This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth. (Matthew)  58 And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou art also of them. (Luke)  25 And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, Art not thou also one of his disciples? (John)  58 And Peter (Luke)  70 denied it again (Mark)  72 with an oath, (Matthew)  58 Man, I am not. (Luke)  72 I do not know the man. (Matthew)

59 And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with him: for he is a Galilaean. (Luke)  26 One of the servants of the high priest, being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off, saith, Did not I see thee in the garden with him? (John)  70 They that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto; (Mark)  73 for thy speech bewrayeth thee. (Matthew)

60 And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. (Luke)  27 Peter then (John)  71 began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak. (Mark)  60 And immediately, while he yet spake, (Luke)  72 the second time the cock crew. (Mark)  61 And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord (Luke)  75 Jesus, (Matthew)  61 how he had said unto him, (Luke)  72 Before the cock crow twice, (Mark)  61 thou shalt deny me thrice. (Luke)  72 And when he thought thereon, (Mark)  62 Peter went out, and wept bitterly. (Luke)

(Matthew 26:71-73, 75; Mark 14:69-72;  Luke 22:58-62; John 18:25-27)

19 The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine.  20 Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing.  21 Why askest thou me? Ask them which heard me, what I have said unto them: behold, they know what I said.  22 And when he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, Answerest thou the high priest so?  23 Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smitest thou me?  24 Now Annas had sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest. (John)

(John 18:19-24)

Jesus in the Council of Elders,

Scribes, and Chief Priests

66 AND as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led him into their council. (Luke)  59 Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought (Matthew)  55 for (Mark)  59 false witness against Jesus, to put him to death;  60 but found none. (Matthew)  56 For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together. (Mark)  60 Yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. (Matthew)  57 And (Mark)  60 at the last (Matthew)  57 there arose (Mark)  60 two false witnesses, (Matthew)  57 and bare false witness against him, saying,  58 We heard (Mark)  61 this fellow (Matthew)  58 say, I will destroy this temple (Mark)  61 of God, (Matthew)  58 that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands. (Mark)

59 But neither so did their witness agree together.  60 And the high priest (Mark)  62 arose, (Matthew)  60 stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? What is it which these witness against thee? (Mark)  63 But Jesus held his peace, (Matthew)  61 and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? (Mark)  67 Tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:  68 and if I also ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go. (Luke)  63 And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. (Matthew)  70 Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am. (Luke)  62 And Jesus said, I am. (Mark)  64 Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, (Matthew)  69 hereafter shall (Luke)  64 ye see (Matthew)  69 the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God, (Luke)  64 and coming in the clouds of heaven. (Matthew)

63 Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, (Mark)  65 He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of (Matthew)  71 any further (Luke)  65 witnesses? Behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy. (Matthew)  71 For we ourselves have heard of his own mouth. (Luke)  64 What think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.  65 And some (Mark) (of) 63 the men that held Jesus (Luke)  65 began to spit (Mark)  67 in his face, (Matthew)  65 and to cover his face, and to buffet him. (Mark) (They) 63 mocked him, and smote him 64 And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, (Luke)  68 Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, (Matthew)  64 who is it that smote thee? (Luke)  65 And the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands. (Mark)  65 And many other things blasphemously spake they against him. (Luke)

(Luke 22:66-71, 63-65; Matthew 26:59-65, 67)
