We are to be a sweet smelling fragrance to a lost and dying world!

“Mary came in with a jar of very expensive aromatic oils, anointed and massaged Jesus' feet, and then wiped them with her hair. The fragrance of the oils filled the house.”

JOHN 12:3 (Message Bible)

Mary gave her most precious gift. The perfume was poured out. The bottle was broken. There was no fragrance until she broke the bottle. She gave all she had to the Lord. This was an act of total surrender. A life to lose and a life to be gained as we are poured out to others. Will you allow your life to be poured out to others? There are millions in the valley of decision. Who will tell them of Jesus’ love?

I had a dream and in it I looked at my perfume bottle. I saw that it was almost empty. I was concerned that the perfume was about to run out. In the natural I always buy perfume duty free and I had no ability to do so at this time. I filled the bottle with water. To my consternation, as I looked at the bottle, there was a chemical explosion in the bottle, all the substances vaporized and poured out the top of the bottle, leaving nothing in the bottle. I woke up at this point very disturbed thinking, What do I do, I have no perfume now! The bottle is empty!

God showed me that the perfume is the oil of the anointing. The crushed olive releases the oil. This oil has a beautiful fragrance. If there is no crushing, there will be no oil! There will be no fragrance! That anointing to die breaks yokes, and causes us to rule, to reign, to move in power and purpose. Yes we are anointed to die! Jesus had an anointing to die. He was anointed by Mary to die. When we receive Jesus as Lord and Saviour, we are anointed to die, to be poured out for others.

If we mix the oil of the anointing with the water of the Word of God (the life of God) we will have a chemical explosion which will flow out into all the world. God’s word is powerful, living and active. God’s word will bring life change. The vapour is the precious Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ that pours out to a lost and dying world. The Lord wants us to mix the anointing which He gives us to go into all the world with the living word of God and then there will be a chemical explosion as it goes out into all the world. We will take and be that vapour bringing life wherever we go bringing change, because we bring a chemical explosion - a vapour that permeates all it comes in contact with.

One Must Have A Mission in Life

“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying,

Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”

ISAIAH 6:8 (KJV)

Everyone is called for a purpose in life. Jesus was a man with a mission. God sent Him to bring the message of love, hope and salvation through the cross. When Jesus had tasted it, He said, “it is finished.” John 19:30 That was what God wanted Him to do.

The secret of successful living is to work constructively towards a positive goal. To each and every church, family, society, and organization you have a duty to God and to yourself to be the very best at all times. Not to be content to lead a second rate life, but be determined to live to the maximum of your ability. Let His will become your mission in life. You will experience a deep sense of satisfaction and fulfillment. Then Jesus explained: “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work.” John 4:34

God has a purpose for each one of us in His own way. He makes that purpose known. We need to remain open-minded and sensitive to the prompting of His spirit so that He can lead us in God's way and give us the strength to carry out His wishes. “The Lord took hold of me, and I was carried away by the spirit of the Lord to a valley filled with bones.” Ezekiel 37:1-14

Jesus has demonstrated the manner in which you are required to persevere as you go about God's business. God in His power, will give you the ability to fulfill your mission too. And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

Isolation begins with “I want…”

“Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me,

let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

LUKE 9:23 (NKJ)

I

want. In the book, Growing Our Spirit Soul, I talk about hearing three voices: self, satan, and the LORD. I talk about how we hear three categories of voices.

Self can be constructive or destructive. The voice of self can be truly destructive once it teems up with ego, arrogance, and money. One of the issues with “self”  is, God made us as social beings and we continue in this behavior—we need one another. Negative selfish behavior moves us, in time, to depend solely on ourselves, or use others for our own good, eventually isolating us with ourselves or others like us

The voice of “self” can camouflage itself, in its “nature” of taking care of the person, the body, the you. Once “self” meets these fundamental needs, then it continues to do what it does best—get things to make the “you,” the body, the person the most comfortable it, you can be. And in so doing, it looks past the “needs” of others and to the “desires” of “self.” This is exhibited and can be witnessed in selfish behaviors and ignoring the real hard cold “needs” of others.

Before you know anything, you are listening mostly to me, myself, and I, putting little merit in the opinions of others unless it meets “self’s” criteria. We may find ourselves isolating ourselves from our loved ones, our communities, our churches families, from politics, society, and lastly, isolated from our emotions, beliefs, virtues, thoughts, and the motivations which make us who we truly are.

In the beginning of our “selfish” race in life, things look very rosy as we get those things we need, then things we desire, then look to danger and the unknown for adventure only to find ourselves surrounded by people who are like us—selfish, caring only about themselves. And this may seem okay, but let something bad happen to us—we may discover there are no friends by your side. Remember:

Matthew 28:20 (KJV)  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always,  even unto the end of the world.” Amen.””

When we look around in life and discover that we are alone—without family or friends, know that Christ Jesus, is standing there waiting for us to open to our mouths and say, “hello.”  Say hello to Jesus today. He is standing there with you or sitting next to you. Just say hello in your mind, then through your mouth. Have a blessed day!

Happy Fourth of July

We all are examples of the Way of the Lord Jesus.

We need to put It into practice.

“Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice.

And the God of peace will be with you.”

PHILIPPIANS 4:9; Also 1 SAMUEL 13:1-15 (NIV)

O

ne outline about the book of Philippians shares that, "It reveals the apostle Paul as 'radiant amid the storm and stress of life.'" It even says the book isn't about doctrine but about joy. The book was written to encourage those at Philippi to stand strong in their faith and not to be disappointed at Paul's imprisonment and the unknown time of the return to face-to-face leadership. They became distressed and worrisome without his example and they began to doubt the Lord. He reminds them that he showed them when he was with them how to live and grow in their walk with the Lord, both by his spoken word and how he lived. He reminds them to follow his example and further encourages them to copy his example until their own faith walk matures.

In the readings from 1 Samuel, we also see that God sent Samuel to be an example to King Saul and all of Israel. Saul saw the circumstances and began to fear and doubt. He rushed ahead of God's plan. He tried to do Samuel's job instead of his own. He didn't wait on God's appointed timing. Because of his choice to act on fear and not in faith he lost God's best plan for his life. This also affected the nation of Israel. Soon thereafter, God brought a new earthly king to power in Israel.

I remember a quote I heard years ago. "Do not lead, for I may not follow. Do not follow, for I may not lead. Walk beside me and be my friend." That's what Christ did. That's what the many Bible stories tells us other men and women of faith did. They followed the Lord, and their lives were lived as people who walked beside others while being true friends.

Are you being an example? Of course you are, whether you like it or not!  Everything you see, say or do tell others about you. If you are with someone for even five minutes, you are teaching them something. What are you teaching others? Are you teaching love? Is your life teaching them that Jesus Christ makes a difference?

God Almighty’s LOVE is the gift that keeps on giving!

“And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:”

COLOSSIANS 1:21-22 (KJV)

Grace: when you get what you do not deserve! The One who was hurt came and made peace. It is thoroughly amazing though it was man who had betrayed the confidence thrust on him in the garden, that it was man who had thoroughly gone astray, because of his self-seeking and self-indulgence. Man turned his back on God and His creation. Mankind sought after images made by their very own minds and hands. Yet God, in His infinite mercy is the One who came to make peace for man’s wrongdoing.

Even when people, after coming to the knowledge of salvation, turn their backs on God Almighty and seek after their own ways, it is still God that draws us back to Him, time and time again! Is it not God who said, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”? (Hebrews 13:5) “Oh the love that drew salvation’s plan, Oh the grace that brought it down to man!” For while we are still sinners, Christ died for us.

“Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:16 Not only will we obtain mercy, but we will find grace--unmerited favor in times of need. Come to the Throne of Grace today.

When God places a dream/vision in your lap, it is your baby to nurse.

“Then the Angel of God spoke to me in a dream, saying, ‘Jacob.’ And I said, ‘Here am I.’”

 GENESIS 31:11 (NKJ)

G

od-Dream - 2.  God and His Holy Angels have spoken to humankind throughout the ages through dreams. In these dream communications, God has placed motivation in only one person to go somewhere (Genesis 31:13) as with Jacob, not doing something (Genesis 20:3), to receive something (1 Kings 3:5-15) as in the case of Solomon, or deliver a “word” from God (Ezekiel); take the Messiah to Africa (Matthew 2:13) as with Joseph, or showing Daniel the kingdoms to come (Daniel 11). One way God has placed vision in men’s bosoms through communication in dreams.

It is important to know that that dream, that vision was given to you and you alone. Initially, no one will have the zest for the dream, but you. Your wife will not catch the fever for the vision, your children will not have the energy for the dream, your relatives will not be able to see the vision. You and only you will be able to see the vision unless God has purposed someone in your life to work in step with you on the vision, initially. This is typically not the way it works. Your family will not see the vision, will not believe the vision, nor will they focus on your God-given vision.

Your church, pastor, bishop, nor your deacon will see your vision or be motivated to assist you in your God-given dream until your vision has a materialistic manifestation or until they see that through your actions you, yourself believe in your dream by the amount of time you invest in God’s dream which He placed in you. People will also want to see if the dream is truly from God. People believe that “gain is godliness” (1 Timothy 6:5) and therefore they expect that if this is a God-given vision, there will be a financial manifestation of His Glory.  This couldn’t be further from the truth.

Remember, finances were created by man. What need, what concern is money to God, except man needs this medium in his civilizations as a means of transferring wealth and procuring necessities. Therefore, your God-dream in you will prosper in what God planned for it to prosper in and it may not look like what society expects. “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11 (NKJ)  Stand fast in your God-given dream and live in expectation. Work your God-given vision for you can see it. Know what you know, live what you know, and work what you know.

Progression comes from projection. What are you imagining for your future?

“Jesus answered and said unto them,

Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.”

MATTHEW 21:21 (KJV)

P

rojection: This is why it is extremely important to be, remain, and act POSITIVE in all situations. Of course, there are many studies which prove a positive mental attitude can reduce sickness and disease in people, but this is spiritual. This is a key to success in many areas on life.

Progression in our spiritual, mental, and physical lives comes from projection. Projection is when we project our expectations into the world God has made for us; the result being the expectation (what we imagined). This sounds all ethereal, but let me bring it home to you. When you get near a stove you may or may not think it, but your body will position itself as though the stove might be on until you know all the burners are off, only then will you be comfortable.

Our minds can project into and unto our experience, our reactions, interactions with others, what we see, touch, smell, or hear (though it will  not be all controlling, but there will be snippets, short experiences); i.e., feeling the flame of a candle when it is not lit, sitting in the car feeling it vibrate when it is not on, hearing a parent who has gone on to be with the LORD, hearing a long, lost dog or pet, tasting a flavor in ice cream or some other substance, that is not there, or seeing a deceased loved one. You can write me to tell me of your experiences. Our minds are powerful inventions of the LORD as is our entire bodies, to include our spirits.

When we project or think about things, no matter how large or small, it is EXTREMELY important to think positive thoughts, look at the positive position, the positive angle, see the cup with something in it, not half empty. “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8 (KJV)

Progression in life comes from projection—your projection or that of another. Projection is a mechanism by which EMANATION (“Let there be light…”), happens in our lives. In life, follow the positive paths, do the right things, say the least negative words you can imagine at the most hellish of times. Be the most forgiving, in the worst of circumstances. Be the most compelling, to save a soul. Be the happiest person that anyone knows. Be expecting a visit from the Lord. Be glad to share what you have, especially something you haven’t used in years, expecting nothing in return. Share with others what the LORD CHRIST JESUS has done in your life. Be blessed continually!

Look out for the well-being of others, secures our own.

“But the fruit of the Sprit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness,

faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”

GALATIANS 5: 22-23 (NKJ)

L

ook out for the “I.”  A pastor wants to meet a particular man’s wife and family. There is a “Meet and Greet” right after church, but instead of going the man takes the wife and children out to eat dinner after church.

When the family in question does not show up at the social event, the man is later asked about it. The man said, “I know we are not members and I knew we had four mouths to eat and I didn’t want impose. I wanted the members to get the food and I did not want you all to run out of food.”

The pastor asked, “Did you ask the children if they wanted to come?” The man said, “I knew my wife was tired and I thought that “Meet and Greet,” would tire her out too much.”

“Well, did you ask her if she wanted to go?”

“No,” was the reply.

The moral of this story is look out for the “I” because the “I” doesn’t know what the “he,” “she,” the “them,” the “you,” or the “others,” want to do unless the “I” becomes a “we,” or an “us,” and learn to live “together.”

In life, keep an eye out for pride, and pride makers, or anything that takes your attention away—YOUR LIFE ENERGY—from the LORD. Look out for the “I,” in this case the selfish “I” looking out for someone else’s selfish intent or motivations—i.e., not to participate in social events with your church family can cause us to miss out on or delay blessings which the LORD has prepared for us.  Participating is healing, rejuvenating. Getting involved brings with it other members of God’s Holy Family (Fruit of the Spirit)—gentleness, confidence, tenderness, joy, and moments in time well worth remembering.

This is in part what Jesus was saying in these words, “‘And the second is like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.’” Mark 12:31 (NKJ)

We are the Children of the Light, not the children of the “I.”  “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), proving what is acceptable to the Lord.” Ephesians 5:8-10 (NKJ)

The Lord is waiting for us to take down the walls of our Jerichos.

“‘Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things.

Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.’ ”

MATTHEW 6:34 (NKJ)

T

his is a MYSTERY revealed. Yeshua Emmanuel Christ spoke in Matthew 6:19-34 concerning focusing on living now with the Father, not worrying about this or that, looking for trouble in the future instead of dealing with the present trouble.

“When is the LORD coming back?” No one knows, not even Jesus. “‘But of that day and hour no one knows, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.’” Mark 13:32 (KJV) God didn’t even let His Beloved Son Jesus know when the end time is. Then why are we bothering about when He is coming back, but to prepare for His Return by doing what He expects of us while we are here, before He brings His Heavenly Army. We have to conduct ourselves as His Earthly Army and His Stewards.

What should we be focused on? On Jesus coming back or on listening to Jesus who is standing beside us right now. …and lo, I am with you always…” Matthew 28:20 Jesus does not lie. Then why are we so focused on His Return when He says He is with us, even His Name tells us what is going on, Emmanuel which means: God (is) with us. (Matthew 1:23) So the enemy has us focused on the Return of Jesus, not on Jesus being beside you right now. Keep listening.

We are soldiers in the Army of the LORD. As soldiers, please note that we are foot soldiers, military specialists who are adept or should be able to fight the enemies of God with some success. So let’s bring it home. Imagine soldiers (us) on a ancient battlefield, and the general (Jesus) is on the hilltop watching the battle waiting for the right time to launch the final wave of soldiers into the battle. Even the General doesn’t know when He is going to get the signal to release the troops and enter into the fray; only the President knows—and He is not telling.

Let’s say on this battlefield all the soldiers or most of them are looking for the return or the entry of the additional soldiers into the battle. When a soldier looks back to the General, waiting for His Return, then the BACKS of the soldiers are turned to the enemy. The enemies’ attacks are almost always successful now because the backs of the soldiers are set to the enemy.

This is the posture in which the enemies of God find many of God’s People. Man is looking, waiting for the Return of our Savior and allowing this posture to make us poor soldiers and stewards, because we think He is coming NOW and have stopped fighting the battle as though the Battle no longer is important or exists. The LORD is waiting for us to take the down the walls of our Jerichos, not take a passive, wait and see posture. No one can do what the LORD has destined for you to do in and with your life. Be proactive as a Soldier of the LORD.

"Grace" working in our lives causes favor and glory to abound.

“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

To him be glory both now and forever.”

2 PETER 3:18

G

row in GRACE. The word "Grace" is from the Greek "Charis," and it refers to divine influence in a human heart, which reflects on his outside, producing favor, beauty, goodwill, loveliness and ability.  In other words, when "grace" is working in your life, there's just something about you that causes favour and glory to abound in your life.

When our Lord Jesus was a child, the Bible says, He "grew" and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him." Luke 2:40.

Acts. 11:23: Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was GLAD, AND EXHORTED THEM ALL, THAT WITH PURPOSE OF HEART THEY WOULD CLEAVE unto the Lord.

Grace is the power of promotion. It is the things that causes our lives to move from one level to another and that's why the Bible says we must grow in it.  The good news is that every child of God has received grace in abundance.

Romans 5:17; For if by one man's offense death reigned by one; much more, they which received abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.

But the degree to which you let it reflect is up to you.  The more you fill your heart with God's Word and have the Holy Spirit work in your life, the greater that grace will shine forth on the outside.

GROW IN GRACE

See the answer to your prayers in God’s road signs which are set before you.

“Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up,

that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem,”

LUKE 9:51 (NKJ)

I

Want-2. Is what we want, what the Lord wants for us? Sometimes while traveling down the road of life, we miss the road signs which the Lord has set before us. Typically, we miss them because they do not look as that which we expect. It is quite evident that God is omniscient, knowing our questions, prayer requests, and lives before we were even born.

So when a prayer request is offered up to the Lord, the sits a road sign in the path of your life, which has been waiting there for years, or preparing for years for the intersection of your life and the road sign placed there by the Lord in the preparation of your question, your direction, your request for His assistance.

Example: I recently purchased Direct TV cable service. The program guide (printed list of channels) printing was so small, my wife encouraged me to enlarge it. In so doing, when I stepped in front of the printer I heard, “Cut it and trim it.”  Ignoring this subtle, quiet road sign, I continued as a rationalized, an thought through the challenge. After several enlargements which were not large enough, I realized that if I “CUT and TRIMMED” the program guide, then enlarged each piece separately, I would have perfectly sized copies. Then I listened because I heard a voice from the past, “cut and trim.” Then I realized that if I had followed that VOICE initially, I would have saved a lot of time, energy, and resources.

Sometimes in life, we get so focused on what others say is important, making it a god in our lives. Where is your face focused? Where is your life purposed? Sometimes we look where everyone else is looking and miss what is worth seeing, what is worth doing. See the Angel in our lives, see the Blessing in our lives, see the Blessing we are to those who depend upon us. See Christ in you.

You can be blessed, but still not be in Your inheritance!

And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel:

for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

 GENESIS 32:28 (KJV)

J

acob is so much like us – the people of God. His life is such a profound picture of our own lives. And there is such a big difference between Jacob while he was called: ‘Jacob,’ and Jacob after he was called: ‘Israel.’

As ‘Jacob,’ he was living as a mere man, in the flesh, in his normal, earthly intellect, abilities and schemes. He was cheating from time to time, when it was good for him; he was working hard to provide for his family; he had his up and down moments, his salary was changed 10 times. Doesn’t this seem like a normal, human life here on the Earth? Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose. We work hard, we try our best, we do all we can.

Yes, we are believers in God at the same time. Jacob was too. He was even blessed with sheep and herds of other cattle. Yet, he was not living in his inheritance! The Lord had more for him. Not only more in quantity, but more in essence, more in reality, more in the area of His eternal purpose.

Then the moment came, when Jacob had to face his weaknesses in a fighting match with the Lord, he had to repent of all his flesh attitudes and actions, he had to seek the Lord’s real blessing (not the one he obtained through cheating and human schemes – he was not satisfied with this one and that’s why he wouldn’t let the angel go until he received God’s blessing), and then only he was changed (transformed) into ‘Israel’ – a prince with God.

Everything changed after that! He came back into the land of God’s promise (his true inheritance), he had favor with his brother and everybody else, he became richer and richer in the Lord’s blessings, and he became the father of a whole nation which had eternal destiny in God.

Let’s not focus on being mere men, let’s not work for the flesh and through the flesh, let’s not use worldly methods and let’s not seek the world’s blessing – it is not our inheritance. Let’s seek the Lord for His real riches – His true inheritance for our lives!

It is sometimes difficult for God’s new thing to get past the old things in man’s heart.

Now if God so clothes the grass of the field,

which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven,

will He not much more clothe you…

MATTHEW 6:30 (NKJ)

G

od knows – 2. Spiritual warriors, I adjure you by the living God to receive this. It is important to understand that we are living under spiritual laws. I am not talking about the Ten Commandments here or the Commandments of Jesus, or any Commands of Christ Jesus or God Almighty. Let’s call them Commandments. We live under them also.

In nature, sets of laws are in effect. These are natural laws which govern this earthly realm. Laws of cause and effect, laws of gravity, laws of force, laws which govern light, energy, fire, water; laws governing the physical. In the spirit realm, there are laws in effect as well. The enemies of God have prostituted our knowledge, our belief systems of our spirituality to get us to believe that we can use a law, a spiritual law to get God to show us His Love and to show more of It. The spiritual laws allow us to operate in the spiritual realm and physical realm to receive those things which God has allowed us, or things which we deem necessary or helpful, or which allow us to have a more pleasant and meaningful experience on this trip through this temporary, natural existence.

Laws of giving of firstfruits (Proverb 3:9), tithes to open the windows of heaven (Malachi 3:10) is an example of a spiritual law working on our behalf. Asking on behalf of others/to help others, opening spiritual doors for others, sowing, reaping are examples of spiritual laws. These laws are vehicles by which we exercise our faith. Prayer, praise, fasting, tithing, submission, confession, salvation, and like gestures and actions of obedience which tie into laws are vehicles of faith which are used in the servicing of our faith in God and in His Son Jesus. It is about faith, believing.  …for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,” and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20  Jesus also said: “…If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Mark 9:23  For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says.” Mark 11:23   …According to your faith be it unto you.”  Matthew 9:29 (KJV)

The greater part of discernment is to know when to keep quiet when you have something to share.

“‘But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak,

they will give account of it in the day of judgment.’”

MATTHEW 12:36 (NKJ)

N

ow we know if we are accountable for every idle word, we will be accountable for every heated word, gentle word, loving word, kind word, forgiving word, tolerant word… Today's devotional is very important because when Jesus says we will be accountable for every idle word we speak, He meant it. We have to focus on using positive words (thank you, bless you, you are welcome) and not negative words (“You make me sick.” “I hate you.” “You stink.” “You are ugly.” “You dummy you.”). In jest or not, positive is best.

When Paul says, think on positive things, (Philippians 4:8) this is why. Paul knew that not only do we need to meditate on positive things to maintain a “positive mental attitude,” but he knew that life qualities which we embrace go through life with us if we chose to allow them into our lives daily.

Example.  Let's say, Brother Al saw Deacon Jones, leaving the abode of Miss Heathen; not only once, but on more than one occasion. Instead of confronting Deacon Jones, Brother Al spreads the news in his gossip circle (the people he knows). Everyone in the circle has a gossip circle, so before you know it. Dozens know or believe a lie which was spread as though it were truth. The gossip has now moved from the mind, into the street, into the home, into the community, and into the church. All seemingly innocent, but highly destructive. Who could it hurt?

Brother Al finds out that Deacon Jones was not having an affair after all, but that Miss Heathen was his long, lost step-sister. He had not seen her in 27 years and never had he seen his niece. Now do you think that Brother Al would go and explain to everyone in the gossip circle concerning his error? No. Al would not even attempt to correct that which he spread like wildfire. So everyone walks around thinking that Deacon Jones is having an affair when he is not; and that burden is now carried by Brother Al, who cannot correct his mistake. Only God's Grace can make it right.

All words and all deeds that we say and do go a long, long way. They don't just exist in that moment. They exist not only in that moment, but moves forward in time along with us as positive or negative energy. As in all things that God does, even those things He does in us, and that which He allows, continues forward in time, unless corrected; just as we initially created it. So it's important to say positive things because they will follow you, walk beside you, or go before you.

You cannot take back something once it leaves your lips. So the next time you ask forgiveness for that which you have said, think about the number of people who have heard it and to whom you cannot go back to and make right (make righteous). What we want to push down the timeline is the family of Virtue.

Progress is a product of human, spiritual  projection.

“‘For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says.’”

MATTHEW 11: 23 (NKJ)

P

rojection: if God said it is so, because god does not lie. So let's see, the mystery in this verse. Progression comes from projection. This is why it is extremely important to be, remain, and act positive in all situations. Of course, there are many studies which prove a positive mental attitude can reduce sickness and disease in people. The studies are carnal, but this is spiritual.

Progression comes from projection. Projection is when we project our expectations into the world God has made for us; the result being the expectation. This sounds all ethereal, but let me bring it home to you.

When you get near a stove you may or may not think it, but your body will position itself as though the stove might be hot until you know all the burners are off. Only then will you be comfortable.

Our minds can project into and unto our experience, our reactions, interactions with others, what we see, touch, smell, or hear (though it will  not be all controlling, but there will be snippets, short experiences); i.e., feeling the flame of a candle when it is not lit, sitting in the car feeling it vibrate when it is not on, hearing a parent who has gone on to be with the LORD, hearing a long lost dog or pet, tasting a flavor in ice cream or some other substance, that is not there, or seeing a deceased loved one. You can write me to tell me of your experiences. Our minds are powerful inventions of the LORD as is our entire bodies, with the pinnacle being our spirits.

When we project or think about things, no matter how large or small, it is EXTREMELY important to think positive thoughts, look at the positive position, the positive angle, and see the cup with something in it, not a cup filled with that which I cannot use. Paul said, Philippians 4:8; see the virtue, see the positive. When I worked in sales, the motto was: “To act energetic, is to be energetic.” So they had us taking cold showers in the morning. The effect was this helped the sales team to act energetically. To act, is to be; if for only that moment. With God, all it takes is one moment—a flash of time.

In life, follow the positive paths, do the right things, say the least negative words you can imagine, at the most hellish of times. Be the most forgiving, in the worst of circumstances. Be the most compelling, to save a soul. Be the happiest person that anyone knows. Welcome your visits from the Lord. Be glad to share what you have, especially something you haven’t used in years. Then share with others what the LORD CHRIST JESUS has done for you. Be blessed continually!

There is power in blind faith and obedience to CHRIST.

And whosoever, shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

MATTHEW  10:42 (KJV)

C

hildlike characteristics. Paul said, “When I was a child, I spoke like a  child, I understood as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” 1 Corinthians 13:11 (NKJ) This was directed towards the behaviors of the Corinthian Christians.

In contrast Jesus said, “…Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:3 (NKJ) The mystery here is children operate in “BLIND FAITH” and they do what they are told. This scripture references a question concerning who was the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven—children. So to be great in the Kingdom of Heaven we have to be OBEDIENT.

Another thing children do is check their boundaries. They investigate and check to see how far they can go in situations, distances, how close can they get, how hot is it really, which way to go, but none the less, children push their boundaries, they expand their territories until a parent, sibling, or friend pushed back to let them know how far they can go, to let them know who they are, to remind them who their parents are, who they are in Christ, and which direction they are to follow and tell them the leaders they are. This command to act this way which the LORD has placed in us is found in Genesis 1:28: be fruitful, multiply, replenish, subdue, and take dominion. Remember: Whatever God does or puts into motion—NEVER stops. In the Corinthian scripture, Paul is setting boundaries for Christians in Corinth.

As Christians we are to share Christ, to push the boundaries of our spirituality, to expand the relationship we have with Jesus, with God, with the Holy Spirit, to see if it is REALLY TRUE—the things the Bible says, God says, and Christ says; or just another lie in the wind. Investigate the boundaries of your spirituality and consider if it can be expanded. Check out the Christ, Emmanuel, the Beloved Son of the Almighty to see if He will do for you what the Bible and every other believer has heard.   If you are looking for a real experience with Christ to see if what they say is true about Him, then say, Christ Jesus, come into my life right now, and let me see that which you have done and are doing in my life today.

Focus on getting wealth for others and be surprised at the wealth you have to give.

“And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth,"

2 TIMOTHY 2:24-25 (NKJ)

S

omeone borrowed my electric hedge trimmer and two extension cords. They said they would return the equipment at the end of the day. The second day as I was driving out of the housing area, I saw my equipment lying on the ground. It lay there for two days in the rain, in the sun, in full view of strangers. I was upset; not only were the tools outside for all to have, but the trimmings from the hedges were strewn about where they had fallen days before.

This person may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but they love to work and work hard. Questions: do I ignore the situation and act as if it never happened?  Do I remain upset not say anything to him about it and never use them again for jobs?  Do I confront him in gentleness to correct him even though I have some anger, residing inside? If I yell and curse profanities and vulgarities at him, what kind of Christian will that show me to be?

In the life we have to ask ourselves this question: what is more important?  The things that I own?  Or the people that know?  The relationships I have?  Or the latest technology, gizmo, or gadget that is available in society? My health or my bank account? The scratch on my car’s paint job or the emotion inflicted upon a person who may have scratched it? Saying you're sorry when you don't have to?  Or walking away and not saying anything when words are required? What is most important in your life?

“Let no one seek his own, but each one the other's well-being.” 1 Corinthians 10:24 (NKJ)  People are important; people are God’s wealth. We need to treat one another as though we are God’s jewels. So, we have to take the tough road, the high road and be mature, doing the right thing in the most difficult of circumstances.  And that's so important because life situations help us grow spiritually.

We have to say the right things we have to have the correct attitude, and most importantly, we have to do that which is required of us as stewards in God's creation. We have to be mature and show the character of God by correcting those who need correction, being gentle, and doing it in a spirit of love. Let's not give up on the people we love or strangers who we do not know. Let's not divorce those people who we are tired of, have patience, tolerance, love, and in the spirit of Christ diligently work to embrace, enhance and engender relationships with others and with Christ.

What you believe, is true for you.

“Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast him out?” So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.””

MATTHEW 17:19-20 (NKJ)

A

clerk at the store the other day commented on the issue of cancer. The conversation evidently surrounded the issue of a victim of lung cancer, who never smoked a day of their lives. The woman was saying that people have a propensity to get cancer; that in fact, they have cancer cells in their bodies already. Cells in our bodies are naturally ready to make cancer.

Now if you know me, you know that it was hard for me to hold my peace, because I recognized that as a lie from hell. “We have cancer cells in our bodies.” “Our bodies naturally make cancer cells.” Lies from hell. So I wanted to continue shopping at that grocery store, you know, so I held my peace.

As I live and learn, I have seen products come on the market that are bad for you one year and in the next they are good for you. Or the product will come on the market and is good for you, and in the next year or two after that, they aren't as good for you or are bad for you. Professionals get paid to say that a product is good, bad, or unacceptable and should be used by the general public. In fact, I would not be surprised to find doctors on the payrolls of any product producers.

If you expect that your body can make cancer, will make cancer, is prepared and naturally designed to make cancer—guess what? You will probably position your lifestyle, your thinking, your speaking, your pleasure, your listening, your direction, your action – in places, in situations, in environments, and behaviors which will eventually cause you to become cancerous.

So in life, do not go around thinking negative thoughts concerning your health, concerning your life, concerning your children, concerning your job, or your business. If you have migraines daily or weekly, do not think it's okay and acceptable. Migraines, physical pain in the body, is the body signaling you to let you know that there is a larger problem. Do not walk around with pain in your abdomen and think that it's okay and acceptable. It is not. If you have a question concerning your health issues go see a physician. If you have a health issue that the doctors cannot cure, go see Dr. Jesus (Yeshua). Physical issues are product of spiritual issues. Remember, only through God can cures come.

Learn to muster praise, when looking in the face of disappointment.

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God,

to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

ROMANS 8:28 (NKJ)

L

ook disappointment in the face in the eyes and smile.  I have counseled many people concerning the loss of a loved one, a grieving mother who lost a son or daughter, a grieving husband who lost a wife, or a person who is grieving over a bad habit, which they had to get up.  In the face of that.  It seems so easy to say to them: they are with the Lord, the in a better place now, they are with the Lord, or all things work together.  We have compassion, empathy, and often truly grieve along with those who have lost something close to their hearts.

When I submitted it for the food for peace grants, I fully expected to get at least one of those grants.  You can imagine my disappointment when I found out we did not win, not the one of the four grants submitted.  Immediately I, like most of you, did a self-evaluation.  What did I do wrong?  Well could I have done differently? Why didn't I get the grant?  These questions remind me of questions of old.  Who did sin?  This blind man?  Or his parents? “And His disciples asked Him saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”  Jesus answered, “Neither this man, nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.”" John 9:2-3 (NKJ)

I know that I am called.  I know that I am chosen.  And I know that eBlessings is purposed by God and the work that we're doing is right at the heart of God.  So I have to believe and be confident that Christ is doing something bigger than what I can see.  Sometimes we look for God coming one way and He comes another.  Sometimes God wants to do an unusual thing, so it takes unusual circumstances (to show the supernatural which we can be able to see). Sometimes we look west when He is coming east. But if we do not get out there and try it, no matter what it is, we will always fail. Because we fail if we do not try.

If what you are doing is not working out for you or didn’t; do not give up. Do it a different way—do it God’s way. Ask the Holy Spirit how God wants it done and try it a different way. Try it God’s way and expect the unexpected.

EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED

If we put things off in the fleshly world, we will put things off in the spiritual world.

“My ways, and turn my feed to your testimonies.

I made haste, and did not delay to keep your commandments.”

PSALM 119: 59-60 (NKJ)

utting things off.  When we think of why businesses fail, we generally think about the lack of money. The reality is failure does not come because of the lack of money, but from the failure to plan and the failure to implement those plans. So, in life, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. The failure to implement plans is a sure way not to accomplish your goals.

In life, we tend to put this off or put that off. We put off for now, a lot of different things that we should be doing, now. This does not take into account the things that we don't know that we should be doing that we are not doing.

We delay some of the most important things that we should be focused on, and do some of the most mundane and simple tasks which can wait until tomorrow. We often delay the more difficult or the more challenging tasks until tomorrow.

1)       The problem with putting things off, with procrastination, or waiting until a better time, a more convenient time, or when things are just right or best, can sometimes cause us to miss (be positioned to miss) the Blessing of the Lord.

2)       We may miss our blessings in specific situations because we have too much fear or the lack of confidence to move forward.

3)       The other problem with putting things off is it creates a habit in us of putting things off. It's called procrastination.

The problem with procrastination is if we in this fleshly physical world, put things off, then in the spiritual world, in our spiritual world, we will also put things off.  Remember, our world is cyclic; both spiritual and physical.  Both worlds impact the other.

The problem with putting things off in our spiritual world is we are putting off God; we are putting off God's blessing when we procrastinate in God's spiritual things.  This has the impact of negatively affecting us, our families, our communities, our churches, our businesses, local governments, and our nations. What are you putting off today that should not wait until tomorrow?

Trials and tribulations we shall have; thorns, scourges, snares, and traps as well.

You know for certain that the Lord your God will no longer drive out these nations from before you.  But they shall be snares and traps to you, and scourges or in your sides and thorns in your eyes, and kill you prayers from this good land which the Lord your God has given you.”

JOSHUA 23:13 (NKJ)

raps -1.  I know many of you do not believe the Holy Spirit speaks to you. And you would probably not believe that Jesus the Christ speaks to you either; or to have Angels or any member of God's Holy family such as the Saints of old, the Prophets, or the Apostles. This is mainly because you do not believe Jesus Christ when He says, “I will be with you always.” Today, start believing in what Christ Jesus had to say--and live by it. He is truly alive.

This morning as I lay awake on the bed, the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “Traps.” I was not awake enough to realize what was going on, but I lay there and listen. I thought of a question. And the question was: traps? And as always, the Holy Spirit. I only get a little bit at a time and this was the start of it.

Traps: traps set by humans, traps set by evil, and what appears to be traps set forth by God. Well, this woke me up enough to listen better. At first when I receive, generally it's something quite simple. A simple phrase or a simple concept. Then in progression, in an hour two or a day or two, I receive something else. Or in a telephone call or simple conversation, I hear the next part of what I initially heard, all of it, or the completion thereof.

A trap is something, someone, a word or phrase, and action, all or what ever it takes to make a Christian trip or fall, or be bound, or be delayed, or be disappointed, or be sad, or be without hope, or to be without salvation and a relationship with Christ. I am sure, right now, you can think of some traps that are in your life. These traps are normally directed at a weak point in our lives, a weak point in our relationships with God, and are focused on the simple day to day activities of our lives so that the impact of the trap is subtle and an unsuspecting Christian may dwell in a trap for years.

AVOID THE TRAPS

Today's eBlessing for You!

Yeshua, our Lord and Saviour, bless You and may all God's Creation keep You and serve You. Lord teach us how to avoid the pitfalls and obstacles which would keep us from best serving You and doing Your Will in our lives. Christ allow us to see the traps which lay before us, around us, and remove them, allow others to remove them and show us how to use Your Power over them. Amen.
