Those who listen to instruction will prosper.

here Truly Is Happiness Found? – 1. You must hear these! It is an axiom that human beings are the most insatiable creatures of our Great Creator and Master Potter, God Almighty. All the struggles and toiling of mankind on earth are aimed at two major aspects.

(1)     Search for meaning and,

(2)     Passion for happiness.

These two areas of human existence have characterized the reason why most people are compelled to meet up with certain ambition or greed, by every means possible, negative and positive.

In recent times this quest for more meaning and happiness have led many to their untimely exit out of the world, while others are captives and slaves to their self-induced passion for fame and riches, with its end products being increase in violent crimes, corruption, immoral living and wars, gradually heading humanity to extinction… a man-made holocaust.

The search for meaning was the foundation on which the deluded Karl Marx, the founder of communism, who told his followers that it was necessary to kill a large segment of the population in order to attain the basic objective of communism. He taught that, “As long as we have one million left, that will be enough to make the new man.” To him it does not matter how many dies, - no wonder they are destructive, brain-washed without their own personal will and reasoning, having become completely dehumanized. They are manipulated and sunk in perverseness.

“He who deals wisely and heeds [God’s] Word shall find good, and whoever leans on, trusts and is confident in the Lord, happy , blessed, and fortunate is he.” Proverb 16:20 (AMP)

here Truly Is Happiness Found? – 2.  Let’s showcase the gallery of many great celebrities in the archive of history, who thought meaning and happiness were in their possessions and wealth, but ended up worthless and wretched in the ocean of vanity.

Not In Money

Jay Gould, the American millionaire, had an enormous fortune. But when dying, he said, “I suppose, I am the most miserable man on earth.”

Not in Pleasure

Lord Byron lived a life of pleasure and ease. He wrote, “The worm, the canker and grief are mine alone.”

Not in Military Glory

Alexander the Great conquered the then known world in his day. Then he wept, “There are no more worlds to conquer.”

Not in Political Power

William Tweed became the brilliant boss of Tammany Hall and ruled New York City. He said: “My life has been a failure in everything.”

Not in Unbelief

Voltaire was an infidel of the most pronounced type. He wrote: “I wish I had never been born.”

Not in Position and Fame

Lord Beaconsfield enjoyed more his share of both. He wrote: “Youth is a mistake; manhood, a struggle; old age, a regret.”

Dr. Peter Marcus Orji:As for me it is better and more profitable to die a missionary for the salvation in Christ of mankind, than to be written in the Guinness book of Records, a worthless hero of vanity...”

Happiness comes by swimming in the ocean of obedience to the will of Christ Jesus, the Prince of Peace.

Our key to spiritual, physical, mental, financial, and emotional treasure.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

MATTHEW 6:21 (NKJ)

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things,

and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.

MATTHEW 12:35 (NKJ)

H

idden Treasure – 1.  The Holy Spirit showed me this one day and the Angels illuminated me further. Here is the key to salvation and the key to unspeakable treasure. “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.” Deuteronomy 6:4-5 (KJV)

Moses was speaking to Israel. The new Israel are true Christians. And yes, we still have old Israel. Moses is speaking to us through time. In Matthew, Jesus is telling us that we will find our (spiritual) treasure in the heart; whatever we place in our hearts is our treasure and it is going to come out (as physical EVIDENCE). The evidence of what is in our spiritual lives, in our hearts, will show up in our physical lives: life is cyclical. Keep listening. There are four keys here:

1)       You must LISTEN so you can HEAR. Focus on listening to, listening for, and hearing CHRIST.

2)       God is ONE; this is a precursor to the concept of God, Christ Jesus, and the Holy Spirit as ONE. Christ Jesus is One with God; we are One with Christ; we are One with God.

3)       LOVE. You must LOVE God more than your high school sweetheart, your husband, wife, child, sister, brother, or anything or anyone.

4)       Your HEART (emotions), SOUL (mind), and MIGHT (physical) must be totally immersed in Him; ALL of you. Then everything else comes.

Moses didn’t stop there. He tells us to open our treasure chests (hearts) and place these words (Deu. 6:4-5) in it. “And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:” Deuteronomy 6:6 Now you may be wondering how to place these words in your heart.

Here is how: “And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.” Deuteronomy 6:7

a)       You know that when you teach something to someone, you learn it even deeper: “teach them.” Teach the Ordinances of the LORD.

b)       When you are sitting at home watching television, listening to music, playing video games, thinking sad thoughts, having a pity party, or considering your next purchase, how to clothe your children, or how to get your next meal, instead of those things do this: “talk of them when thou sittest in thine house.” Speak of the GOODNESS of the LORD. (This is PRAISE; no matter your circumstance-PRAISE HIM.)

To be continued. Have a blessed day!

How long have you been ministering? And what and to whom?

“And He went up on the mountain and called to Him those He Himself wanted. And they came to Him. Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach, and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons:”

MARK 3:13-15 (NKJ)

M

inisters All. The Holy Spirit gave me this devotional as I was preparing another and told me to use this one today. This is for you. You and I, and every human being have been ministering every since we have been able to speak and reason, we have been ministering. We minister to others and ourselves by what comes out of our mouths daily, nightly, and all the times in between. We are ministers all, because we will be accountable for every word and every deed that proceeds from our lives, from our temple which is our bodies. But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.” Matthew 12:36 (NKJ) We, if we are Christians, or try to be, or are “born-again,” or are making the slightest efforts at doing what Jesus Emmanuel Christ told us to do, then we are His disciples.

We are in a long lineage of disciples which started here: “Then Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.'” Matthew 28:18-20 (NKJ)

We are His, called by His name: CHRIST-ians. We are the anointed ones of Christ, chosen by Him and that is why you have it in you to follow Him and to read your Bible, to make efforts to do His Will, and to do good in the world. “The mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Colossians 1:26-27 (NKJ) That which is good in us which tries to come out as good deeds is God, Christ in us which is the hope of glory for the world; the Hope of His Glory operating in us because of our obedience to Him and His Teachings.

When Jesus told His Disciples to go spread His Teachings, the Gospel, to the entire world, He was speaking through time to tell us to do what He did, and say what He said, and be like Him. And He gave us the Power to do what He told us to do, because He is not a liar, and the Truth is in Him. And He would not have told us so, if it were not true. So, the next time we open our mouths to say a word, to utter a sound, or turn your face to the wind, or speak out of turn, or speak against a brother, a sister, a mother, or a father, remember your calling.

The solution to your problems, ills, or challenges which confront you.

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:”

DEUTERONOMY 6:4-6 (KJV)

H

idden Treasure – 2. Please see Hidden Treasure -1. (Saturday, 3 February 2007) Now you may be wondering how to place these words in your heart. Here is how: “And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.” Deuteronomy 6:7 (NKJ)

a)       You know that when you teach something to someone, you learn it even deeper: “teach them.” Teach the Ordinances of the LORD.

b)       When you are sitting at home watching television, listening to music, playing video games, thinking sad thoughts, having a pity party, or considering your next purchase, how to clothe your children, or how to get your next meal, instead of those things do this: “talk of them when thou sittest in thine house.” Speak of the GOODNESS of the LORD. (This is PRAISE; no matter your circumstance.)

c)       When you “walkest by the way,” are walking through your day, living your live, the Goodness of the LORD should be in your heart with Praise coming out of your mouth, and “PRAISE ACTION” being done in your life. When someone does something good for you, you want to repay them by doing something good back to them. Not talking about how bad life is, how poor you feel, how much money you don’t have, and the like while you are living in the midst of Blessings or in the midst of a SETUP where God is preparing you for an UNSPEAKABLE BLESSING. We are to live and let people see the GOODNESS  of the LORD in our lives.

d)       When you retire at night, “when thou liest down,” when that head hits the pillow, or the dirt, or the cement, reflect on the good things which the LORD placed in your life this day and LOOK FORWARD to what the Lord has for you tomorrow. God will honor your EXPECTATION. Think about how much the Lord loves you as you fall asleep.

e)       When you arise, “when thou risest up,” have on your mind the Goodness of the Lord from yesterday and the expectation of GOD’S GOODNESS in this new day that He has allowed you to see.

This portion of the lesson is the spiritual aspects. Hidden Treasure – 3 has the physical aspect of the lesson. Do this plus part three for 21 days and you will see positive results. To be continued. Have a blessed day!

Pick and choose wisely my dear ones. Eternity lies ahead.

“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven,

and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

MATTHEW 18:18 (NKJ)

P

ick and Choose. One of our habits as humans is picking and choosing. We pick and choose during the course of our lives daily—is the cantaloupe ripe, let me thump that watermelon, I don’t like the color of that car, I will pick through those greens until I get the best, let me pick out the right shoes to go with that dress, you know that doesn’t match, let me get you the perfect tie for that suit, and of course, which church will I pick and when will I choose to attend.

We pick this and we pick that. We choose to do right or we choose to do wrong. We choose to participate and get involved or we choose to watch from the perimeter as a spectator from the outside, often with a critical eye. We often pick and choose our friends based on their and our financial position and status. Picking and choosing.

I had a conversation with a barber who was talking religion as my hair was being trimmed. I was explaining how I believe the Bible is the Infallible Word of God, but how I place more emphasis on what Jesus said, what God said, what God said through His Prophets, and what God or Jesus said through any of Their Creation. I went on to say that many people follow Paul’s teachings, Solomon’s riches, or many other historical and biographical aspects of biblical documentation giving it the same weight as the actual Words of God in the flesh, through His Begotten Son Jesus Emmanuel Christ. Or giving it the same weight as the actual Words spoken by God in both the Old and New Testaments.

The barber wanted to offer argument that the Bible is weighted the same and as such everything should be valued the same. Here comes the PICK and CHOOSE. So I asked, why then are women in the pulpit preaching and why are they not keeping silent in the church. (1 Corinthians 14:35) What about women keeping their heads covered? What about the dietary restrictions? What about men not cutting their hair? See Leviticus. You say with Jesus the Law is of no effect. What? You cannot say with Paul the Law is of no effect? Or Solomon? Or King David? Or Moses? Or Daniel? Or Joshua? Then there must be something special about the personage of Jesus Emmanuel Christ and, and this is a big AND, we may want to listen much closer to what He has to say. You just might want to do that.

WHAT ARE YOU PICKING? WHAT HAVE YOU CHOSEN?

Here is a mystery that we all know but few apply to God’s Glory.

“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God,

to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today,

that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.”

DEUTERONOMY 28:1 (NKJ)

H

idden Treasure – 3. There is scripture between Deuteronomy Chapters 6 through 27 that apply before the above scripture is activated. Read on. Please see Hidden Treasure - 2 (Monday, 5 February). Points “a – e” in Hidden Treasure 2, speaks to those things of the spirit. Things of the heart: emotion, things of the mind: thoughts, things of the soul: motivation, and things of the body: like speech are ethereal in nature in that you cannot put you finger on them—they are spiritual.

Remember, life is both physical and spiritual; that is our makeup. Ying-yang, black-white, light-dark, good-evil, and the like. This is the physical part of the BLESSING of the LORD: Hidden Treasure 3. We have to place God in our hearts—Jesus Christ in our hearts. And when you do this, you cross over and posses that which the LORD has for you. (Deuteronomy 6:1) This is what God through Moses said to do: “You shall bind them (Deuteronomy 6:4-6) as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” Deuteronomy 6:8-9 (NKJ)  Are you doing this?

Please receive this; this is for the glory God has for you. Read it for yourself, I am not making this up. Remember, you have to be saved first; Jesus Emmanuel Christ has to be your personal Savior and the manifestation of His Glory will honor your OBEDIENCE to GOD’s COMMAND.

Then what does God say is going to happen if you follow His Ordinances of which the above is one. “And it shall be, when the LORD your God brings you into the land of which He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give you large and beautiful cities which you did not build, houses full of all good things, which you did not fill, hewn-out wells which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant—when you have eaten and are full—” Deuteronomy 6:10-11 (NKJ)

Now you must know this, in nature when God promises something, He delivers, but it will be in His Time and based on your OBEDIENCE to His Words. Remember that. Also, what applies is an “IF, THEN” clause. If you do this, I will do that. If you do that, then I will do this. And that is what comes next in Hidden Treasure – 4. Have a blessed day!

An “Open Heaven” is a situation, whereby a Door of Divine Revelation is open to someone from the Throne of God.

“After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven.

And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said,

Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.’”

REVELATION 4:1 (NIV)

O

PEN HEAVEN.  An open Heaven is a situation, whereby a door of divine revelation is open to someone from the Throne of God. John 1:50-51; “Jesus said, ‘You believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You shall see greater things than that.’ He then added, ‘I tell you the truth, you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.’”

So “Open Heaven” involves unlimited access of God's Throne and angelic assistance. Angels are ministering spirits. When a person is experiencing an “Open Heaven,” he enjoys the blessings of God.

WAYS TO ENJOY AN OPEN HEAVEN:

a.       It brings Divine Visitation as in the case of Jacob at Bethel.  Genesis 28:12; “Then he dreamed, and behold a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.” (NKJ)

b.       It enables one to hear the Voice of God, as Jesus in His baptism. Matthew: 3:16-17; “Then Jesus, when He had been baptized, came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, ‘This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.’

c.       It enables one to see the Vision and Hands of God in a situation as Ezekiel experienced. Ezekiel 1:3 “the word of the LORD came expressly to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the River Chebar, and the hand of the LORD was upon him there.” (NKJ)

Open Heaven will enable one to obtain the breakthroughs one needs for our lives, these include things and revelations. Brothers and sisters, God is going to open Heaven so you can enjoy His Divine Blessing. Now, right were you are sittings or standing, may God empower the eagle of your destiny to fly throughout your days of “Open Heaven” in Jesus’ name.

Judge and measure Christ Jesus in your life and in the lives of others.

“Thus says the Lord God:

Behold, I will lift My hand in an oath to the nations, and set up My standard for the people;

they shall bring your sons in their arms, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders;'”

ISAIAH 49:22 (NKJ)

J

udging by a True Standard. I have written a book entitled: “is JESUS a crackhead?”  When people hear the title, some are offended. Many though are blessed by God’s Revelation within. When others realize I wrote it, they give me a cold shoulder. You see they have judged me without knowing me. Is that wrong? Do we judge throughout our day?—things?—others?—life events? Of course we do. Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.” John 7:24 That is a part of our makeup, that is a part of our destiny to judge angels, people, God’s creation—and guess what—OURSELVES. Everyone and all of God’s Creation is judged by His STANDARD: Jesus Emmanuel Christ. (Acts 17:31; Romans 2:16) So, if you judge others or if you do not judge others, you and I will be judged by the Standard: the Life of Jesus. After all, we are His Followers, His Disciples—called by His name—called to His Deeds.

Is it a bitter pill to be judged negatively by others?—sure it is. I understand that those individuals are not “TRUE CHRISTIANS,” they just use that moniker to deceive true Christians. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” Mark 13:22 (NKJ) These false evil christs and prophets stand on a foundation of fake christians, contrary pseudo believers, and false doctrine. (Isaiah 29:13; Matthew 15:8-9)  And it is happening now, today, as it has been happening since CHRIST left our world in the flesh (being here now in SPIRIT). These judging Pharisees, non-believers, and weak-knee folks, let me know that they have not had a real experience in and with Christ Jesus. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.” Matthew 7:20 (NKJ) We must pray for them.

But the Holy Spirit let me know when He gave me the title—that there would be adversity related to it. The Holy Spirit also gave me the name of the web site and ministry: eBlessings. So what do you do when the Holy Spirit tells you to go: YOU GO, YOU DO. Hear is the kicker. The JESUS says: Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the same measure you use, it will be measured back to you.” Matthew 7:1-2 (NKJ)  The measure we measure to others is Christ by doing the Works of Christ Jesus in our lives. We judge others by the Standard which is Christ Jesus (God in the flesh): Emmanuel (God with us). Judging and measuring life and others in this way, keeps us on the straight and narrow path of the Righteousness of Christ and keeps us aware of evil when it attempts to influence, impact, or affect our lives or the lives of our children, community, or nation.

God’s Commands transcend and supersede time, carnal laws, institutions, and the traditions of humankind.

then beware, lest you forget the LORD who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. You shall fear the LORD your God and serve Him, and shall take oaths in His name. You shall not go after other gods, the gods of the peoples who are all around you (for the LORD your God is a jealous God among you), lest the anger of the LORD your God be aroused against you and destroy you from the face of the earth.”

DEUTERONOMY 6:12-15 (NKJ)

H

idden Treasure – 4. Please note: In the Bible when you see the word LORD (all caps), this is representative of God’s Holy Name which was lost (Psalms 44:20; Jeremiah 2:32, 23:27; Deuteronomy 32:18; Hosea 2:13, 13:6; Ezekiel 22:12, 23:35). Tradition will say that it is used because God’s Holy Name is too Holy to write. It was lost by the High Priest years ago as was the Old Testament. The Book of the Law was found (2 Kings 22:8, 13, 23:2, 24; 2 Chronicles 34:14). Also note: the Old Testament (Hebrew Law and Prophets) and other Holy Writings of His time is what Jesus, the Christ studied. The New Testament rests on the Old Testament.

Please read Hidden Treasure – 3; Wednesday, 7 February 2007. One may think that writing Deuteronomy 6:4-5 on your doorposts, in your heart, in your mind, and in your families’ hearts and minds is Old Testament stuff which should be left in ancient times because Jesus came and made the Law of non effect. Jesus is the Law in the flesh. And you are CORRECT.

Jesus is the Law in the flesh and He updated the Law and gave us new and improved COMMANDS (as if God’s Commands were not good enough), but you see God had to give Jesus new commands because the Hebrews were not following the old Commands. Please note: the Hebrews were attempting to follow and obey 613, yes, six hundred and thirteen laws—an impossibility. Jesus came to rectify the Law situation, among other things.

Jesus told us to do the spiritual COMMAND: love the LORD with all our hearts, souls, and minds (Matthew 22:37); and to do the physical COMMAND: to love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:39) (you know—love yourself, feed yourself, clothe yourself, secure yourself, and make yourself happy with friends, family, church, and with possessions which please the Lord and help maintain our relationship with Him.

Remember, the spiritual Commands have physical manifestations and the physical Commands have spiritual manifestations. See Hidden Treasure – 5. Have a blessed day in Christ!

Get wise and have understanding in your daily walk with God.

“Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth.”

PROVERBS 4:5 (NKJ)

G

et Wisdom - 1. In Proverbs 4:5-7, as believers we are admonished to get wisdom, get understanding… that wisdom calls for truth, justice, righteousness, prudence and power. How do we get wisdom? The sacred scriptures indicate that the fear and reverence of our Heavenly Father is the means by which knowledge and wisdom come, and that fools despise wisdom and discipline. “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Proverb 1:7 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” Proverb 9:10 (NKJ)

What are the benefits of having wisdom? The first four chapters in the Book of Proverbs specifically answers this question. The benefits of having wisdom are love, life, faithfulness, divine favor, a good name, good health, honor, blessings, peace, riches, discernment, sound judgment, uprightness, grace, splendor, and divine protection. Who is their right mind would not want to partake of these benefits? Are you easily persuaded? Do you follow the crowds? How do you handle problems? Conflicts? Crises in your life? The following list of principles are found in the Book of Proverbs and are considered universal laws in the Kingdom of God. They are principles I am compelled to share especially with the younger generation.

1)       The man/woman that wins souls to the Kingdom of God is wise.

2)       The power of our words bring life or death, blessings or curses to ourselves, our children, and our life experiences.

3)       Those who listen to the Spirit of Wisdom will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.

4)       A heart at peace gives life to the body.

5)       Our Heavenly Father loves those who pursue righteousness.

6)       Discipline you son/daughter, for in that there is hope; save his/her soul from death.

The proper application of wisdom includes the ability to use God-given talents, skills, passions, wisely; the realization of moral obligations, and both intellectual and spiritual maturity. Allow the Spirit of Wisdom to lead you in your earthly pilgrimage DAILY!!! HALLELUYAH AMEN!

God says not to hold a grudge and to love your neighbor as yourself.

“Jesus said to him, You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ (Deuteronomy 6:5) This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as your self.’ (Leviticus 19:18) On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.’

MATTHEW 22:37-39 (NKJ)

H

idden Treasure – 5.  Please read Hidden Treasure - 4, Saturday 10 February. Please note that God often places His Treasure right in front of us to see, but we can only see His Treasure if we diligently seek Him. “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6 (NKJ)

In the Old Testament Moses said: said: “You shall bind them (Deuteronomy 6:4-6) as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” Deuteronomy 6:8-9 (NKJ) This is one of God’s Commands from the Old Testament as is Leviticus 19:18: “You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD. That is God talking. We should listen and obey.

Translated into the Christ Age, this means:

1)       Writing this Law on our hands—the works of our hands, the Works of Christ exhibited on that which our hands are working,

2)       Writing this Law on our foreheads—the works of our minds, the Works of Christ exhibited on that which we are thinking,

3)       Writing this Law in our hearts—having and exhibiting the Compassion of Christ in our lives,

4)       Writing this Law on our doorposts—our homes (and our bodies) are to be open to Christ to dwell therein; and therefore our homes are to be open in the service of Christ to strangers on behalf of Christ and the Love of Christ which dwells therein—in our homes and in us.

The Holy Spirit let me know that when the Jesus says, Therefore by their fruits you will know them.” Matthew 7:20, the fruit as per spiritual law — have a dual witness. In this case, the words from our mouths are spiritual (unseen and untouched) and our actions are physical (seen and touched). Words alone do not show the fruit of a person; there must be words and action—the spiritual and the physical. Please look for Hidden Treasure – 6 which will show us how easily we can obtain God’s Treasure which is not hidden at all; but you have to want it. Have a blessed day!

What God has ordained for your life, is for you. Receive it and rejoice.

“My son, if you receive my words, and treasure my commands within you, so that you incline your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding; Then you will understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding;”

PROVERBS 2:1, 2, 5, 6 (NKJ)

R

EVELATION. God’s Holy Family often reveal spiritual things to me. It is often dynamic, life-changing Manna from Heaven, Revelation which empowers our spiritual lives. I have been mandated by Christ Jesus to raise the spiritually dead—these inspirational insights to spirituality and God’s Character are only one of the tools to execute this mission. I am a called and chosen vessel of God.

Sometimes when I share with others eyeball to eyeball or on the telephone concerning these revelations, I am asked, “What are you going to do with what God has told you?” Or I am told, “This revelation is not for everyone.” Or people are not ready to hear this yet. And I say, “What, like giving pearls to swine?” (Matthew 7:6) They respond, “Yes.”  Even the dogs and pigs need nourishment to grow.

I understand that there are some or many who may not be able to swallow this spiritual food; these spiritual meat and potatoes. If you do not have the teeth to eat adult food, do not eat it—it is not for you. Adonai let me know that there will be a remnant of spiritually focused people who are waiting and looking for the revelation which He is sending through this vessel—me. I know this. “But He said to them, ‘All cannot accept this saying, but only those to whom it has been given:’” Matthew 19:11 (NKJ) If you cannot receive or understand the Revelation from the Throne of God, the Wisdom from on High that the Lord shares with me, to share with you, then it is not for you.

Everything in life, in the physical and in the spiritual, is not for everyone; the world will have you believe that everything is for everybody and when some people get things for which they are not prepared, they cannot handle and they ruin it or it ruins them. You can put a face on that, a name on that, a church on that, a spiritual leader on that, doctrine, or tradition. What is for you, is for you. Do not allow anyone to take from you or not allow you to receive that which is for you; especially for you from the LORD. What God has for you is yours. Receive God’s Revelation. Whoever receives one of these little children in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me, receives not Me, but Him who sent Me.” Mark 9:37 (NKJ)

Wise choices make for better tomorrows. Make wise decisions daily.

“Happy — blessed, fortunate [enviable] — is the man who finds skillful and godly Wisdom,

and the man who gets understanding—drawing it forth [from God’s Word and life’s experiences].”

PROVERB 3:13 (NKJ)

G

et Wisdom - 2. In our earth pilgrimage, decisions and choices are made on a daily basis—as a child, a teenager, and as an adult. Some of our decisions are minor and some are major regarding our future. Upon arising each day, we make decisions concerning the foods we eat, the clothes we wear, our personal hygiene, our jobs, careers, classes, our co-workers, or classmates, and the list goes on and on. Often we don’t take the time to think through our decision-making process to determine what impact this decision or choice that I am making today will have on my tomorrow. Wisdom is crucial in this process.

The following list of principles are found in the Book of Proverbs and are considered universal laws in the Kingdom of God. They are principles I am compelled to share especially with the younger generation.

1)       “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)

2)       The path of life leads upward for the wise to keep him/her from going down to the grave. “In the way of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death.” Proverb 12:28 (NKJ)

3)       You reap what you sow. “A wicked man earns deceitful wages, but he who sows righteousness [moral and spiritual rectitude in every area and relation] shall have a sure reward—permanent and satisfying.” Proverb 11:18; “He who sows iniquity will reap calamity and futility, and the rod of his wrath [with which he smites others] will fail.” Proverb 22:8 (AMP)

4)       “Where there is no revelation, the people caste off restraints; but happy is he who keeps the law.” Proverb 29:18 (NKJ)

Read your Bible, study your Word, and related books and know your God. You want to talk about people changing God’s Word. Listen. There is unlimited power in the True Names of our Lord God and His Son our Savior.

“And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day,

In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.”

GENESIS 22:14 (KJV)

And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty,

but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.”

EXODUS 6:3 (KJV)

“That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.”

PSALM 83:18 (KJV)

“Trust ye in the LORD for ever; for the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:”

ISAIAH 26:4 (KJV)

Funk & Wagnalls Standard Desk Dictionary:

Jehovah: In the Old Testament, God: the Lord. See YAHWEH, [<Hebrew JHVH Yahweh, either Creator or Eternal].

Jehovah - 1. An artificially constructed name for Israel’s God first attested in sixteenth-century CE Christian texts. The new construction was the result of changing attitudes toward the use of God’s name.

The Hebrew name “Yahweh” was not normally pronounced after about the third century BCE out of respect for its holiness. In its place, readers of the Hebrew used Adonay, “LORD.” When vowels were added to the consonantal text of the Hebrew Bible 9ca. 1000 CE), the consonants of Yahweh were preserved but the vowels of Adonay were used as a reminder to readers.

Renaissance Christian tradition erroneously combined the consonants of Yahweh and the vowels of Adonay to produce “Jehovah,” which is used occasionally in the King James Version and regularly in some revisions of it. More recent English translations tend to use “LORD” rather than “Jehovah.”

Our thoughts become our destiny. Our thoughts point us to our Salvation.

“Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem, and sent messengers before His face. And as they went, they entered a village of the Samaritans, to prepare for Him. But they did not receive Him, because His face was set for the journey to Jerusalem. And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did? But He turned and rebuked them, and said, ‘You do not know what manner of spirit you are of.’”

To whom much is given, much is required. What is your widow’s mites?

And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he who did not know, yet committed things worthy of stripes shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.

LUKE 12: 47-48 (KJV)

J

udging by a True Standard - 2.   This one is for Oprah. It is said there are six degrees of separation one from another. So, if someone knows someone who knows Oprah, let her know this is for her and those in her socio-economic status.

You have probably heard of the story of the widow’s mites (25 cents each). Jesus was standing at the Hebrew treasury at the Temple watching—watching the rich and watching the poor. “Then one poor widow came and threw in two mites, which make a quadrans (50 cents). So He called His disciples to Him and said to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood.’” Mark 12:42-44 (NKJ)

All I am going to say is this. Oprah has made billions over the course of her career. And we know we can only live in one house at a time and occupy only one room at a time in any house. How much house does anyone need? Or cars? Or clothes? Or shoes? Let me stop. For the most part, Christians believe that paying 10% tithes is required. And others who go deeper spiritually, know that 10% more for offering is required. The deeper yet spiritually motivated, know that their lives are required as the tithe and offering; their hearts, minds, souls—their all.

An African brother asked me if I had heard about Oprah opening a $40 million school in South Africa. Of course I had heard about it—who hadn’t heard about that public relations, media blitz concerning mighty Oprah. He continued. Do you know how many schools in Africa she could have opened with $40 million dollars? I said probably one in every country. He said, yes, she could have opened more than one school for every country in Africa. Then he asked. Why then did she only open one school in one country and spend $40 million dollars there. I said nothing but thought PR (Public Relations) scheme.

Chew on this scripture: Take care not to do your good deeds publicly or before men in order to be seen by them; otherwise you will have no reward [reserved for and awaiting you] with and from your Father Who is in heaven. Thus whenever you give to the poor, do not blow a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites in the synagogues and in the streets like to do, that they may be recognized and honored and praised by men. Truly, I tell you, they have their reward—in full already.” Matthew 6:1-2 (AMP) Look for part three.

Calling God by His Personal Holy Name will get His attention;

use caution for He will see your iniquity—better to call CHRIST.

“And David went on, and grew great, and the LORD God of hosts was with him.”

2 SAMUEL 5:10 (KJV)

“Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart;

for I am called by Your name, O LORD God of hosts.”

JEREMIAH (YIRMEYAH) 15:16 (NKV)

N

ames of God in the Hebrew Bible. The Bible often refers to God by his proper name, which was probably pronounced Yahweh (see Tetragrammaton). In the Hebrew Bible, the consonants yhwh are usually to be read as Adonai (‘adonay), “my Lord,” for the sake of reverence, and English versions represent the work by “Lord” or (less often) “God” in capital letters. The Hebrew word is a plural of majesty (with a singular meaning) of ‘adon, which is translated “Lord” (e.g., Isa. 1.24; 3.1).

The name Yahweh often appears in the phrase “Yahweh of hosts,” as the Hebrew is probably to be translated (cf. “Yahweh of Teman” or “of Samaria” I the Kuntillet ‘Ajrud inscription of ca. 800 BCE, or the longer “Yahweh the God of hosts” (e.g., 2 Sam. 5.10).

Some have thought that the hosts, Sabaoth, are the armies of Israel (cf. 1 Sam. 17.45), but a reference to these human armies is inappropriate in, for instance, prophetic denunciations of Israel (e.g. Isa. 1.24), and the word probably denotes heavenly or angelic armies.

The usual Hebrew word for God is Elohim, another plural of majesty with the singular meaning when used of Yahweh. The singular form Eloah  appears, mainly in the book of Job, but the most common singular noun for God is El, which has cognates in other Semitic languages and whose Ugaritic counterpart is used both for the chief god and as a general word for any god. The Israelites adopted this common Semitic word (cf. Gen. 33.20: El-Elohe-Israel, “El the God of Israel”), and some of the divine names compounded with El in the Hebrew Bible were probably originally used of non-Israelite deities.

In Genesis 14.18-20, 22, we find El Elyon, “God Most High,” whose priest is Melchizedek but who is identified by Abram with Yahweh. The word Elyon is used of Yahweh in other places in the Bible (e.g., Pss. 18.13; 87.5)

This African brother went on to say, “If Oprah really wanted to make a change in the world, to make a change in America, to make a change in the lives of young people in the United States, she would have her organization start a non-profit organization which spawned non-profits in every state, and in every county in every state to facilitate the young middle school and high school students to acclimate, assimilate, and transition into the mainstream corporate and economic institutions in America.” He went on to say, “That this would in effect counter-attack the negative images and negative environmental effects of their world and show them that someone who has the power to make a difference in their world, who is an icon, CARES enough to make a REAL sacrifice for them so they can have viable opportunities.”

People say, its her money she can spend it as she wants. God gave her the money and she can spend it how she feels like. Please read: Psalm 24: “The earth is the LORD’S, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.” Psalm 24:1 (NKJ)  Everything belongs to God. Money is God’s money. It all belongs to Him. We are only stewards over God’s Creation. There Oprah is—doing the pick and chose (Tuesday, 6 February)-- picking and choosing —picking to follow Solomon and not Jesus. Jesus is watching today, right where you are; watching you and I—and you too Oprah.

If throwing our money at the problem is all that is required of us, then JESUS would have been throwing His money at the world’s problems of His day. He could have hired a manager, a “roadie,” and they could have charged admission for the “Jesus’ Miracle Show.” And people would have paid. They would have paid hundreds of Shekels, thousands of Drachmas, and millions of Denarius. The Disciples would have collected the money and then the money would have been given to the church or socially-oriented families and organizations to direct the money to the poor, aged, sick, demon-possessed, and any persons in need.

But JESUS did not do this. He got His hands involved, His voice involved; He was involved in politics, involved in religion, and the personal spiritual lives of individuals. We must not view Christ Jesus as a superhero, but as the Spirit of God residing inside of us to allow us to be the SUPERHEROES.

BE THE SUPERHERO IN CHRIST

Apply wisdom daily using maturity and perseverance in spirit and character.

“The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.

My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:”

PROVERBS 3.19, 21 (KJV)

G

et Wisdom - 3.  See Get Wisdom -2; Wednesday, 14 February. What is wisdom you may ask? What entails making wise choices and decisions? According to Webster, wisdom is a wise attitude or course of action. “Wise” means having great understanding of people and of situations; also, unusual discernment and judgment in dealing with people. Other synonyms that applied to these definitions were good sense, sound judgment, knowledge, insight, prudence, and level headedness. Surprisingly, these attributes characterize the man or woman of God.

The following list of principles are found in the Book of Proverbs and are considered universal laws in the Kingdom of God. They are principles I am compelled to share especially with the younger generation.

1)       It is more blessed to give than to receive. “I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Acts 20.35 (NKJ)  “The desire of the slothful kills him, for his hands refuse to labor. He covets greedily all day long. But the righteous gives and does not spare.” Proverbs 21.25-26 (NKJ)

2)       My people perish for lack of knowledge of the sacred living words. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you, [the priestly nation,] have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you shall be no priest to Me; seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children. Hosea 4.6 (AMP)

3)       The blessing of God brings wealth and He adds no trouble to it. “The blessings of the Lord, it makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it, neither does toiling increase it.” Proverb 10.22 (AMP)

4)       Our Heavenly Father will repay each person according to what he has done. (Deu. 32.35; 2 Peter) “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” Romans 12.19

5)       Wisdom prolongs your life and brings prosperity.  “For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.” Ecclesiastes 7.12 (KJV)

Obey the Words of the LORD of Hosts in your life today!

“Then the word of the LORD of hosts came to me saying, ‘Say to all the people of the land, and to the priests: ‘When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months during those seventy years, did you really fast for Me—for Me? When you eat and when you drink, do you not eat and drink for yourselves? Should you not have obeyed the words which the LORD proclaimed through the former prophets when Jerusalem and the cities around it were inhabited and prosperous, and the South and the Lowland were inhabited?' Then the word of the LORD came to Zechariah, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts: Execute true justice, show mercy and compassion everyone to his brother.’ ”

ZECHARIAH 7:4-9 (NKJ)

Things that make our prayers not to be answered. (Zechariah 7:1-10)

1. Injustice.
2. Mercilessness.
3. Oppression of the widows.
4. Oppression of the aliens.
5. Oppression of the poor.
6. Evil thoughts about each other.

Quick check up formula for your life:

1. Fortune: How is your relationship with money or worldly things?
2. Gender: What is your attitude towards the opposite sex? (Job 31:1)
3. Motive: Why are you serving the Lord? Why are you dressing as you are dressing? Why are you doing what you are doing right now? What is your motive?

Four dangerous things in prayer (which hinder our prayers).

1. Self-love.
2. Self-advertisement.
3. Self-promotion.
4. Self-praise.

May the Lord bless you and help you to wait for Him in prayer, even if He seems to delay. He is faithful and just to answer our prayers. Amen!

Fighting spiritual battles with spiritual weapons ensure victory.

Fighting spiritual battles with fleshly/carnal weapons ensure defeat.

“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

EPHESIANS 6:11-12 (KJV)

F

ighting Spiritual Battles - 1. I was speaking with a person the other day concerning having victory over evil in their every day life. I knew that the person attended a “lukewarm” church (“So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth.” Revelation 3:16 (NKJ); note this church was a part of the body of Christ; inside of Christ (in His mouth)), and that deep “open spiritual battle” sermons, lectures, and/or discussions related to demons, unclean spirits (things Jesus spoke of) powers, principalities, and spiritual wickedness in high/heavenly places (spoken of both by Jesus and Paul), is virtually ignored or skimmed over in the church in which they attend.

With this in mind, this person spoke to me concerning how they were getting beat up spiritually in their work/business situation. I knew that they were calling for a prayer, though they asked not. Pray one for another. (James 5:15-16) I could hear “pity party” in their voice—self-pity. What they didn’t know is the Holy Spirit had been dealing with me that morning concerning Righteous Brothers and Sisters who do not live, speak, act as though they realize, know, and/of believe that they are brothers and sisters  to Christ Jesus (Matthew 12:50), Heirs to the Throne as Overcomers (Revelation 3:21).

What you need to know as a new Christian, as a “Saved Long Ago” Christian, but still struggling to stay saved, a “Die Hard” “Born Again” Christian who walks in the Victory of Christ on “good days,”  or a “PK,” Preacher’s Kid, a “Been Saved All My Life” but don’t know if I have the Holy Spirit Christian, then know that you have been thrust into, are in the middle of, and there is a spiritual battle which has been going on for a very long time, millennia before you or I were ever born.

To claim victory in this conflict we must:

1) Know that the conflict exists,

2) In this conflict, we are soldiers in God’s Army,

3) There are enemy soldiers, commanders, and mercenaries who are fighting against you and I,

and God and His Army, and

4) That the Victory is won in Christ.

But think of it this way; we have to go to the top of Mount Calvary, with our enemies positioned to delay us, as we move to claim Christ’s Scepter of Victory. To bring it home—we are going to cash in our winning lotto ticket which we have to go to the top of the hill to redeem. As we proceed up the hill, our personal spiritual development increases as does our progress up the hill. But we are fighting every step of the way to get to the top—to Victory.

 VICTORY IS OURS

Find a need, and fill it. Hope?—Help. Shelter?—Money. Hunger?—Food.

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,

for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
MATTHEW 5:10
(NKJ)

I have a few more things to share with you about our Gospel Outreach Ministry work. There are a number of problems such as pastors to help, working bicycles for them and so on. Gospel Outreach works in India. There are matters of hunger, mockeries, poverty, and scarcity of resources. If any Hindu in India plant a stone in any corner of any street or road, soon people gather to worship the “idol god” and offer money and gold. Soon there will be a fortified temple building and a priest.

The idol worshippers are living safe and sound in India. In this way, Indians worship millions of gods and goddesses. Jesus Christ is a foreign God for them and in India. He is the God of the lowest community. For this reason, Christians have no honor in our society. They are treated as untouchables. They are not allowed to live together with the people of higher communities. Most of our fellow Christians live in their huts on the outskirts of villages. We are regular victims of nature calamities such as cyclones, floods, and fire accidents, which take away lives and the shelters of people in any number of villages. Consequently, there are orphans and widows. In such a condition we are doing our gospel work in India.

Though there a number of Christian organizations in India, there are still more them 10,000 un-reached villages. Our plan is to visit at least 3 villages every day and cover 100 villages in a month. We will be able to establish God’s kingdom in no less than 1,000 villages every year. If our Lord delays to come for one more decade, we will be able to win all the 10,000 villages for Jesus. But it is not possible for us unless we have a mighty hand like you.

We know that we are not alone in our hold on the Gospel outreach mission of Jesus. (Matthew 28:19) We have an unquenched zeal to reach every nook and corner and promote the Gospel to every perishing soul. We know that our Redeemer is a living one and He will put us neither to shame nor to failure. Your kind involvement will surely enable us to reap a great deal of harvest in the coming days, weeks, and months. Here our churches, our fellow pastors and the orphan children are sending hearty greetings to you and all who are cooperating with you in your work. I await prayerfully and hopefully your kind and favorable reply; thanking you in His name. Yours in His service.

Transition into spiritual (eternal) thinking from physical (earthly) thinking

to defeat unclean spirits, unclean behaviors, and/or unclean motivations.

“The night is far spent, the day is at hand.

Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.”

ROMANS 13:12 (NKJ)

F

ighting Spiritual Battles - 2.  I was speaking to a person who was having a “bad” day and evidently called me for prayer. I let them know that I would pray for them. But I did not offer “instant prayer” because this was not the first time they approached me in this manner. I knew that this behavior (their calling when they were having a “bad” day) had to be addressed. I had avoided the issue because I knew that it would cause conflict, conflict in our relationship. We must do what we must do in Christ. Know this: there are no “bad” days in Christ; all days above ground are good.

The LORD had positioned this person in a setup where they had individuals in their home who could not (by law and circumstance) be put out of the house. They had to deal with those individuals—individuals who had named the type of demons which resided in them—behavior which they had in their lives. That is they named the type of behavior in their lives which plagued them and declared that behavior was the product of a demonic presence or spirit in their world.

Whenever I visited the work location, I would come away drained—initially not knowing why until I discovered what I just shared with you above. I knew after a couple of visits that the enemy resided in that camp. I believe that if one casts out a demon/unclean spirit from a person and the behavior in that person does not change, those unclean spirits will return and the Bible says: (Matthew 12:45). The behavior of the delivered person must be changed or stopped for those unclean spirits not to re-enter the individual.

I knew the LORD had placed this person in a setup and they were drowning in it. My spirit was moved to share with them that they should move spiritually not physically to have the spiritual victory of Christ in their situation. Often as spiritual warriors, we attack spiritual things as we do physical things. We are in a physical world and therefore most of our actions and reactions are from that perspective: physical, not spiritual. Think of the spiritual as energy created as a by-product of our actions: kindness, hatred, peace, war, forgiveness, intolerance, etc. Once created, this energy takes on a life of its own. “…for by whom (or what) a person is overcome, by him (or it) also he is brought into bondage.” 2 Peter 2:19b (NKJ) (Read Ephesians 6:12) This concept may help you grasp spirituality if you were not raised in a Pentecostal, Holiness, Apostolic, COGIC, other spiritually-oriented, or “Power of God”-centered denomination. The spirit shows up in the form of behavior.

To claim the victory over evil which we have in Christ Jesus, we must put on the whole armor of God. (Ephesians 6:11-17) Keep your armor on at all times. Never take it off; always keep it on.

KEEP YOUR ARMOR ON

Let them say what they like and never look back. God’s got it!

“LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! Many are they that rise up against me. Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah. But thou O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. I cried unto the LORD with my voice and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.”

PSALMS 3:1-4 (KJV)

Children of God, the only way to have peace in the world is to come close to your God, Jesus. Jesus is our God and the Light of the world. To worship God, don’t worry whether you are educated or illiterate, skilled or unskilled, rich or poor, tall or short, handsome or ugly, and so on. All that is required in praising and worshipping Christ our Saviour is you, your temple, your involvement, and your participation. Every living thing must praise and worship God. Praise God so that your day will be bright and good for you.

The devil, evil is using many weapons to use your fellow brothers and sisters against you, to mock you, to block you, in attempts to stop you. But do not step back in any thing that you are doing in the name of the LORD. Continue serving HIM. Hope and know that one day you will die and enjoy life with HIM in His Kingdom. No matter what you get in this world, millions of dollars, billions of dollars, if you lose your soul, you are a loser and the devil has fooled you into eternal damnation and before that, earthly damnation. Would you like to gain this world in which you will live for a short period of time and suffer forever? Do you want fake prosperity or real prosperity?

Come back to your God and make peace with Him and with yourself; this will give you the good life for which you seek. God loves us and never wants us to perish. “And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.” 1 John 2:28-29 (KJV)

Let people say what they will about you. Let them mock you, insult you, abuse you, and hate you because you worship God Almighty. Stand strong and praise God. Never look back because the devil uses every weapon to destroy God’s children, including our past. But the wicked one will finally suffer defeat in the last days.  May God’s Love and Peace be with you all. Amen.

“Act Like It!”

“WHOSOEVER believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.”

1 JOHN 5:1-3 (KJV)

While in the barber shop this week, I observed a simple statement that spoke to my spirit with thunderous measure. The barber was talking to his client. The barber was explaining the nature of the love he has for his significant other. At the defining moment of the conversation, he explained “Man, I love that girl!” Poignant, true, only the client’s response was “act like it!” The barber was almost speechless. During the conversation, the barber did not convey the manner in which he treats his lady friend. Nevertheless, he knew that the client’s response was the correct answer.

As I listened, I began to realize that this “Act Like It!” mentality should be applied to our relationship with God and His people. We can tell God “I love you” fifty times in a day, but until we apply action (obedience to His Word) to our words, those “I love yous” remain powerless. The writer of 1 Corinthians explains the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. (1st Corinthians 4:20) As believers, we must be examples of true love through our obedience to Christ. If we sin against God we must allow a spirit of repentance to abound in us. If we wrong our brother, friend, or relative, we must go to them and attempt the option of peace. At the same time, if we are offended by them, we should go to them and apologize to them first! By doing these things we show God we love Him.

We should put that second and third piece of pie or cake back! We should leave work at the right time and go home or to Bible study to study God’s Word, or go minister in the bereaved neighborhoods, instead of trying to stay late to get man’s promotion. Instead of buying that extra purse, suit, or pair of shoes, we should give our money to someone who we know needs it even if they could possibly squander the money! We should drink water instead of that fourth or fifth cup of coffee. (God sees you destroying your temple, slowly but surely.) Our lives are not our own (1 Corinthians 6:19) We should illustrate our love for God by discovering His perfect will. By doing these things we show God we love Him.

Serving ourselves is not an option; our service belongs to God.

“And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

LUKE 4:6-8 (KJV)

The only man we serve is Jesus Christ, Emmanuel, “God with us.” The only God we serve is Jehovah, El-Shaddai, God Almighty. Other gods we must not serve are church, pastor, buildings, concepts, denominations, visions, angels, demons, Buddha, Muhammad, relatives, the Bishop, the Pope, or the Vatican. We tend to flock to the churches with the most beautiful edifices, or the pastors with the greatest messages, or are impressed to attend a church campus with the largest congregation and amenities.

In society, we look for solutions to problems from those who had similar issues which were resolved. We look to making money from those who have made it. We look for life’s answers from those who look like they have solved life’s puzzles. We tend to follow the teachings of Paul, David, Solomon, and Moses; looking to the examples of Abraham, Ruth, King David, Solomon, Esther, Mordecai, Paul, or John. The Old Testament model is for one man to stand before the congregation (like pastors in the church today) and talk to God for the people – communicate to God for the people. This model has people believing their prayers are ineffective and are often asking others (pastors, deacons) to pray for them. (I’m not talking about James 5:14; elders pray for the sick.) Know we have prayers like children of God Almighty.

The New Testament model is Jesus being that bridge between us and God, while saying talk to God and to Me – in a deeply, personal, intimate relationship where you and I can talk about any and everything no matter how bad and twisted, in an environment of Love. Ask yourself, can you do that today with anyone in your world, except Jesus? You can talk to God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and They speak back to you – all day long (pray always (Luke 18:1; 21:36); communication with the LORD). Bring everything to Them.

People often put more belief, energy, power in the mouth of Paul, in the words of Paul. Jesus is our Messiah, not Paul, not the Bishop, not the Pope, believe or not, not even Mother Mary. Paul was flesh and blood, like we are; not our Redeemer, our Salvation, the Joy of our lives, the Light of the world—that would be JESUS. Today and everyday, let us not ignore the words of Christ Jesus. They may be tough, but they are always true and bring peace.

Listening and Knowing “When” and “What” to Speak.

“Wherefore my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:”
JAMES 1:19
(KJV)

"But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant."
1 CORINTHIANS 14:38
(KJV)

Know “when” and “what” to speak.
At various times in life we are presented with situations—work related conversations, personal phone calls, or classroom discussions—which call for a response. As a Christian, it is our responsibility to give a “Holy” response in these situations. However, it is also our responsibility as Christians to give the right kind of response. Sometimes, there are issues that may seem simple for us to understand, yet the person we are speaking with just can’t seem to get it. As Christians, it is not our responsibility to aggressively convey what we think the right answer is or judge others for what they don’t know. In some situations, we must simply be quiet. Listening sometimes is the only communication needed. Oftentimes people just don’t understand and it is not our responsibility to inform them.

Jesus is the answer! And there are many instances when a person must meet Jesus before they can hear what you have to say. (ACTS 9:4-6; Saul meets JESUS) Personally, sometimes I try to help people by verbally explaining their problems while using the knowledge and wisdom I’ve obtained from GOD. Yet, they sometimes disagree, or refuse to listen to sound doctrine or correction (I’ve been this way myself). In response, I’m forced to apply the love I’ve obtained from GOD, which lets me know to leave that person alone until they are ready to talk. When they are ready to apply Godly reasoning, then we can talk. Until then I just disappear!

Also, everyone might “know” as much as you do. But you don’t hear a 10th grader tease a 3rd grader for not understanding algebra! The 10th grader doesn’t expect the 3rd grader to know algebra. We must recognize our abilities GOD has given us and execute them with meekness and humility. Remember, knowledge puffeth up, yet love edifieth (1st CORINTHIANS 8:1). Just because you know a couple of Bible verses, or hold a position in the church, that doesn’t mean you have authority to ridicule someone because they don’t know what you know. Without Love what you know is empty anyway! (1st CORINTHIANS 13) Thus, with love we must be patient with everyone, and be ready to listen and respond with humility and meekness in our hearts and minds. Simply listening can sometimes speak louder than our responses.
