Don’t be carnally minded. Be spiritually minded.

“For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”

ROMANS 8:6 (NKJ)

E

very child of God has to grow up in Christ to become spiritually minded, because to be carnally minded is death. To be carnally minded means that your mind is set on the natural things of this earth, on the things you can see.

Romans 8:5 (NKJ) – “For those live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.” (Galatians 5:22-25) This means that the Christian who is carnally minded is governed by what his fine senses of sight, small, taste, touch, and hearing tells him. While the attention on the unseen realities in the world of God go unnoticed or treated with little or no respect.

The Bible tells us that those who live by the senses cannot please God. Romans 8:8 “So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.” (NKJ)

The reason why they can’t please God is that they are not walking by faith, Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarded of those who diligently seek Him.” (KJV) You have to grow up to be spiritually minded.

The Bible says in Romans 12:2 “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what  is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

BE CHRIST-MINDED

Eternity is not a destination, but a continuous journey.

“And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all they soul,

and with all they strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.

LUKE 10:27 (KJV)

The 11th Commandment.
If the Lord wanted us to have an eleventh Commandment, then He would have given it to Moses. One would believe it to be: “Give your tithes and offering every time you go to church.” There is no eleventh commandment, but it would probably be Mark 12:30.

The Lord spoke to me one Sunday and said as clear as day, “Beware of those who place tithes and offerings before the Ten Commandments.” I am a believer in paying tithes and offerings; paying over that which is described in the Bible, ten percent of “first fruits” and an offering from your best. But in today’s church, things are out of control. You hear, “The Lord told me to have 1,000 people bring me an offering of $1,000.” Or “Put your tithes and offering on your credit card.” And there are ATM machines in some church lobbies. I wonder why? Is God happy? Did the Holy Spirit really say that?

If giving “tithes and offerings” was on the forefront of God’s mind, they would be on the stone tablets given to Moses. Be more concerned with following the TEN COMMANDMENTS (
Exodus 20); they are still in effect. Grace, mercy, Christ Jesus, and before that--the Big Ten! People say giving “tithes and offerings” are a covenant. They represent an element of our covenant, not the covenant; covenants are made to leaders. A few are the Noahic covenant, the Abrahamic covenant, the Mosaic covenant, the Davidic covenant and the covenant Jesus Christ makes with us as our Savior.

Paying land, fruit and animal tithes is a Levitical commandment (
Leviticus 27:33). We must follow God’s Ten Commandments first and foremost. Deuteronomy 28 tells what happens if we do or do not follow God’s Commandments. If we violate the Big Ten and pay our tithes and offering, we still have violated God’s Law. “GIVING” tithes and offerings is like “REAPING and SOWING” which are precepts, which respond to “cause and effect.” You do this and that happens. Anyone good or evil can “give” and they will “reap” benefits; cause and effect. The violation of the Big Ten will have its effect in God’s own time, but initially God’s Precepts will be in action. Remember, the 11th Commandment is not “tithes and offering,” and if there was an 11th Commandment, it would probably be the first and great commandment according to Jesus: Matthew 22:37.

We should believe in God's possibility.

"Zechariah asked the angel; 'How can I be sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well on in years.'"

LUKE 1:18 (NIV)

Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26  God’s possibilities do not depend on how long (you have been saved or lost in sin) or how old a problem has been. God is still in the business of making the impossible possible. God is a God of impossibilities!

The angel of the lord brought an answer to Zechariah’s problem. But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zecharias, for your prayer is heard: and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to give him the name John.” Luke 1:13

There is no problem that cannot be answered by God. May it be long or hard, there is still an answer to every problem with God. God answers!

We should not doubt the possibilities of God if we really believe in Him. God expects His children to believe in His word and hates doubt. Zechariah became silent as a result of failure to believe the word of God. "But behold, you will be mute and not able to speak until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my words which will be fulfilled in their own time.”  Luke 1:20

“Jesus said unto him, 'If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.'” Mark 9:23  “and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” Mark 1:15

Learn to give in secret, to love openly and to have peace within yourself!

Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them:

otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

MATTHEW 6:1 (KJV)

The secret of secret giving.  When you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. (Matthew 6:3)  Matthew 6:1-4.  In this chapter, Jesus Christ emphasizes three important principles of Christian living. They are:

1) Giving to the needy.

2) Prayer, and

3) Fasting.

Giving is of many types.

Firstly, giving to God.

Secondly, giving to His missions.

Thirdly, giving to the needy.

In ancient days, giving alms to the poor played an important role to the Jews because they thought that giving brought chances of going to heaven if they gave more. But we read in these verses how Jesus instructed them to give with a correct motive and that is applicable even today.

One very ordinary type of giving in the days of Jesus was supplying water to the thirsty. A person who wanted to supply water would hire a man to carry jars of water. Both of them would stand in the crowed area and the hired man would shout in a loud voice, “Whoever is thirsty can come here and drink this water. ” Hearing this, many people would come to drink. At that time the man who supplied the water would shout, “I’m the one who is providing water for you all. Bless me!” In this way, the Jews would boast about their giving alms. Sometimes they even blew loud trumpets.

Jesus Christ condemned such type of giving. This giving is meant to exalt one's own self and to be honored by men. This is abominable in the sight of the Lord. Our giving is truly accepted and honored by God, when we are really filled with compassion for others and give our alms to the glory of the Lord.  Jesus said, “If you give to the least of your brothers, you give it to me.” He also said, “Give and it will be given unto you. A good measure…” (Luke 6:38) So let us have compassion and give cheerfully in secret to the poor, and the Lord will reward us.

Our actions are more valid than the words which we speak.

“The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.

They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.”

PSALM 14:1 (KJV)

Be aware of words. Words from people can be encouraging or they can be discouraging. Which words are you using? Words can build a person up or tear a person down. Words can be curses (cursing) or be blessings.

There are people who do not believe in God (Psalm 10:4), yet He wakes them up every day! (Grace and Mercy) So what does that mean? They do not fear God. (Psalm 36:1; Romans 3:18) If nothing else, it means that they are confused and mislead. And if they are allowed, people will lead us astray! It also means God loves them in spite of themselves. We have to be more focused on God and His Will and Purpose for our lives and the lives we touch than on the jealous, envious, hateful, discouraging or covetous words of those around us, in our families, in our schools, communities, churches, on radio or on television.

There are people whose words reflect their disbelief in God. Not only their words but also what is more evident—their actions. Their words come out of their hearts (Mark 7:15) and their actions reflect their spirit or the enemies of God which are using them as vessels. Be aware of those around you—what they are saying and what they are doing. These things have an impact on you, your family and your community. Words and actions from people have the potential to affect the decisions we make. Don’t accept negative words which people may try to give to you. They are not for you. They only become real if you accept them as real. Negative words and actions are attacks from the enemies of God.

Please make wise decisions based off the actions of people not just the words that they use. Look at actions, not the things people say. View negative people as victims of the enemies of God and seek to release them from their bondage. Be not deceived, God is real. He hears all and sees all and He does not sleep. Remember, Immanuel has risen!

Good Friday

Friday, 6 April 2007

An Observance to our Lord’s Holiness and our faithfulness.

“Now when evening had come, because it was the Preparation Day, that is, the day before the Sabbath,”

MARK 15:42 (NKJ)

G

ood Friday. Good Friday, called Feria VI in Parasceve in the Roman Missal, he hagia kai megale paraskeue (the Holy and Great Friday) in the Greek Liturgy, Holy Friday in Romance Languages, Charfreitag (Sorrowful Friday) in German, is the English designation of Friday in Holy Week -- that is, the Friday on which the Church keeps the anniversary of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

Parasceve, the Latin equivalent of paraskeue, preparation (i.e. the preparation that was made on the sixth day for the Sabbath; see Mark 15:42), came by metonymy to signify the day on which the preparation was made; but while the Greeks retained this use of the word as applied to every Friday, the Latins confined its application to one Friday. Irenaeus and Tertullian speak of Good Friday as the day of the Pasch; but later writers distinguish between the Pascha staurosimon (the passage to death), and the Pascha anastasimon (the passage to life, i.e. the Resurrection). At present the word Pasch is used exclusively in the latter sense. The two Paschs are the oldest feasts in the calendar.

From the earliest times the Christians kept every Friday as a feast day; and the obvious reasons for those usages explain why Easter is the Sunday par excellence, and why the Friday which marks the anniversary of Christ's death came to be called the Great or the Holy or the Good Friday. The origin of the term Good is not clear. Some say it is from "God's Friday" (Gottes Freitag); others maintain that it is from the German Gute Freitag, and not specially English. Sometimes, too, the day was called Long Friday by the Anglo-Saxons; so today in Denmark.

There is, perhaps, no office in the whole liturgy so peculiar, so interesting, so composite, so dramatic as the office and ceremonial of Good Friday. About the vigil office, which in early times commenced at midnight in the Roman, and at 3 a.m. in the Gallican Church, it will suffice to remark that, for 400 years past, it has been anticipated by five or six hours, but retains those peculiar features of mourning which mark the evening offices of the preceding and following day, all three being known as the Tenebrae.

The morning office is in three distinct parts. The first part consists of three lessons from Sacred Scripture (two chants and a prayer being interposed) which are followed by a long series of prayers for various intentions; the second part includes the ceremony of unveiling and adoring the Cross, accompanied by the chanting of the Improperia; the third part is known as the Mass of the Presanctified, which is preceded by a procession and followed by vespers.

The dramatic unveiling and adoration of the Cross, which was introduced into the Latin Liturgy in the seventh or eighth century, had its origin in the Church of Jerusalem. The "Peregrinatio Sylviae" (the real name is Etheria) contains a description of the ceremony as it took place in Jerusalem towards the close of the fourth century.

As might be expected, the ceremony of the unveiling and adoration of the Cross gave rise to peculiar usages in particular Churches. After describing the adoration and kissing of the Cross in the Anglo-Saxon Church, Rock (The Church of Our Fathers, IV, 103) goes on to say: "Though not insisted on for general observance, there was a rubric that allowed a rite, at this part of the office, to be followed, which may be called The Burial of the Rood. At the hind part of the altar ... there was made a kind of sepulchre, hung all about with a curtain. Inside this recess...the cross, after the ceremony of kissing it had been done, was carried by its two deacons, who had, however, first wrapped it up in a linen cloth or winding-sheet. As they bore their burden along, they sang certain anthems till they reached this spot, and there they left the cross; and it lay thus entombed till Easter morn, watched all that while by two, three, or more monks, who chanted psalms through day and night. When the Burial was completed the deacon and subdeacon came from the sacristy with the reserved host. Then followed The Mass of the Pre-sanctified. A somewhat similar ceremony (called the Apokathelosis) is still observed in the Greek Church. An image of Christ, laid on a bier, is carried through the streets with a kind of funeral pomp, and is offered to those present to be worshipped and kissed.

We don’t wait on eternity. We are living in eternity now.

Therefore you shall not oppress one another, but you shall fear your God; for I am the LORD your God.

LEVITICUS 25:17 (NKJ)

F

ear defined. While enjoying a homeless ("disenfranchised") breakfast at a church in Atlanta recently, an acquaintance turned to me and quipped... " Do you know the primary definition of the word "fear" in the dictionary?"

Immediately, all the dark, apprehensive aspects of the word "FEAR" churned through my fertile mind and imagination. Monsters under the bed and in the closet.... love lost, at the utterance of the wrong word.... or even the word or feeling unsaid.... and for a moment, even the present political environment.... the war on terror... fueled by "FEAR" of a faceless enemy, so incalculably unconcerned with our way of life, that it could topple what were thought to be unshakable stanchions, in a country untouched by the realization of insanity, that touches others, worldwide, on a moment to moment basis.

And I said uncharacteristically, “Uh well....not exactly.....what is the primary definition of the word "fear"?"  His eyes sparkled, as if he had the “Texas Hold’um” ultimate hand, and said. "To understand!"

And I froze on the spot.  I’ve spent the last six months, after being "dipped" (baptised), getting to "know" our God. It's the first time in 40 years that I have bothered to solicit a second opinion, that is, other than my own. I do it through prayer, not "helpme, helpme, helpme" and" thankew, thankew, thankew, " but focusing on learning to be still, choosing to survive, awaiting further orders, AND THEN doing the NEXT RIGHT THING.... even if it is learning to be still, choosing to survive, awaiting further orders, and then doing the next right thing.... This is the beginning of a relationship... getting to KNOW GOD! And developing the Virtue of Patience. HE has lived since the beginning of time, and invites us to join HIM, through the intercession of Christ Jesus, until the end of time.

Knowledge is highly touted these days... Wisdom is spoken of, without being much in evidence. Most "curse"tians (™ Max Defoor) churchianiacs, evidence a lot of knowledge and Scripture, but Patience, Wisdom, and Acceptance are all but non-existent for them, but they have become tantamount concerns for me and for those seeking "something" else. And Knowledge, and Wisdom lead to Understanding.

May you learn to FEAR thy God as soon as possible, you've got eternity don’t you? But if satan has you thinking tomorrow will be soon enough..... think about how many people that have gone on before...... who saw it coming? Or did they?

Happy Easter

Sunday, 8 April 2007

God created mankind in His own likeness. So we could live with His likeness.

We transgressed, but we were called again to join His KINGDOM.

"And be not CONFORMED to this world: but be ye transformed by renewing of your mind,

that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.”

ROMANS 12:2 (KJV)

God requires us to have changed minds. We must have minds focused on God first as He is the beginning of all things. One should not tire of submitting his/her mind unto God. For one to be transformed there must be: love, hope, faithfulness, obedience, unity and caring.

Love: God has given immeasurably to His children. This love cannot be compared to anything on earth. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Hope: The eternal hope is in those who remain focused on the word. “in hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began:” Titus 1:2

Obedience: What shall we do without obedience? This brings understanding God through Spirit. “For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.” Romans 5:19

Unity and Caring: Of one another God wants us to remain together so as to win the war against our common enemy satan. The inner person will find it difficult to live without the above character. “Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:3

God allows our perceptions to perceive life’s circumstances from different perspectives

which allow us to experience His Cross in our lives through normal situations.

“Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, ‘One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow me.’

MARK 16:21 (NKJ)

T

ake Up Your Cross -1.  As Pastor Lipsey from the St. Timothy United Methodist Church was preaching, the Holy Spirit shared this with me in a flash of understanding. You may have heard the expression: “No cross, no crown.” In other words, if you go through nothing for the LORD (no cross), you get no crown when you get to Heaven, if you should make it in. “Then He said to them all, ‘If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.’” Luke 9:23 (NKJ)

God in His Infinite Wisdom knows they we as modern day Christians would not have an ice cube’s chance in hell if we had to bear the physical cross that Emmanuel (Jesus) had to bear. Who would get on that cross? AND who would get on that cross DAILY? Not many. But we have to bear the Cross of Emmanuel. That is a part of our Christian existence, our spiritual experience—to bear the Cross. But how? Here is a mystery revealed.

The Holy Spirit says that the LORD allows us to experience the Cross by allowing our perceptions of different life events to be skewed high or low—to be perceived as good, bad, poor, great, excitedly, and so forth. God allows us to see our ant hills as mountains as a way to give us an opportunity to bear the Cross of Christ (without its extreme physical demand) which we as Christians HAVE TO BEAR. We have to bear our trials and tribulations. Hopefully we can apply Romans 8:28 or Psalm 24 to have a more positive expectation of our present experiences.

When I hear anyone say that the LORD has opened doors and everything is going great—they have no problems—everything is working out okay without any attacks from the enemies of God and man—my spirit is alerted because Emmanuel (Jesus, the Christ) said we would have tribulation while in this world.  (John 16:33) This is because we have to bear the Cross of Christ as Christian disciples. Be not deceived by those who have no issues.

It is how we respond to the Cross, to life’s experiences that makes the difference in our Walk down the Path of Righteousness. How will you respond to the negative pressures of life? How would Emmanuel respond? “Then Jesus said to His disciples, ‘If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.’” Matthew 16:24 (NKJ)

An Achiever’s Master Key – “There is No Future in Your Past”

For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord,

thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.

JEREMIAH 29:11 (Amplified)

The Holy Spirit is giving a fresh word to His people; this is a new day of blessing and overflow. God has given us a new future and He is willing to embrace anyone who will reach out, by faith, and receive it. In Jeremiah 29:11, God tells us, For I know the plans I have for you . . . They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Your future with God is awesome!

But how do we reach out and possess this blessed future of overflow? The Israelites give us insight on what NOT to do. They continually looked back at their past of slavery, instead of the future of the Promise Land. As you study the Israelites as an example, we all learn we must fight the good fight of faith and keep our focus on our promised future.

Never allow your past to dictate your future. Only until we focus on our future will we be able to leave our past. Your tomorrow will look nothing like your past. Your entry into God’s future is dependent upon your letting go of those things, which are behind. Allow the Holy Spirit to show you your tomorrows of a new and exciting future.

The Apostle Paul reminds us to forget the past and reach for the future in
Philippians 3:13. This is your season NOW for new things in God!

Do all things in a spirit of love.

“Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit

in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,”

1 PETER 1:22 (NKJV)

Discerning and Wisdom. Imagine three people. Person #1 is talking badly about person #2 to person #3. What is person #2 to do? This is a case where your friend or your acquaintance is now your “enemy” or no longer your friend because they are talking behind your back spreading lies. What do you do? This wisdom and discernment is for you.

1) Ask the Holy Spirit to tell you what to do and say in your situation. (Matthew 21:22)

2) Operate in a spirit of love, not bitterness, hate, envy, jealousy, prejudice, etc. (Galatians 6:1) Love one another with a pure heart. Know that your former friend is a victim of the enemies of God. They are moving in “nastiness” -- moving like a snake. (John 8:44)

3) Know that if person #2 tries to tell person #3 that person #1 is spreading lies, accusations and division, then person #3 will go to person #1 to check out what you said. Person #1 will do what? Lie.

Know that you must be living right and Matthew 5:11. In situations, which frustrate us or cause us pain or sorrow, use the Word for resolution. In any situation, as person #1, #2, or #3, use the Bible to find your way through the darkness. If what is being spoken is evil, then it is not from the Lord. The enemies of God are accusers of the brethren, (Revelation 12:10) They lie, deceive and cause division in relationships.

Person #2 must find scripture to say to person #3 that is directed to person #1, which relates to the particular situation. Person #2 must realize that person #1 is a victim of the enemies of God; therefore pray for them and their release.
(Luke 18:1) Pray for person #3 because they are not mature enough spiritually to discern the deceit, lies and division. Everyone involved are children of God and must be treated as such.

Remember, if it is moving like a snake, hisses like a snake, it is a snake. Put your heel on the snake and release the victim(s). Call it what it is and treat it accordingly. Know them by their fruit.
(Matthew 7:20)

When God is about to anoint you, the anointing will locate you no matter your location.

It is not a matter of trying turn by turn, but a matter of His choice.

“Then [he] said to Jesse, Are all your sons here? [Jesse] said, There is yet the youngest; he is tending the sheep. Samuel said to Jesse, Send for him, for we will not sit down to eat until he is here.”

1 SAMUEL 16:11 (Amplified Bible)

Samuel is out on a mission to anoint the next king. He finds all of Jesse's sons, but none qualifies for this anointing. When God decides to choose whom to anoint, He looks at the heart of someone. He is not interested in the outward looks, but our outlook on life. This is deeply rooted in the innermost being of your heart. God told Samuel that he doesn’t judge by outward appearance, but the thoughts and intentions of man.

His thoughts are not our thoughts, neither are His ways our ways. (Isaiah 55:8)  If God wants to use you to do extra ordinary things in your generation, your thought process MUST be different. You will begin to see things differently from others. Your behavior and talk will change. They must be different from those who have gone before you. David, a shepherd boy is in the field looking after sheep. He is God's choice, God's anointed. There was a great Divine task that lay before him, that his generation needed him to fulfill. Those who make discoveries and do exploits, see beyond the horizon and their generation.

Do not keep your generation standing, waiting for you. It is until you move and act that they will get satisfied to sit and eat. Samuel said, "we will not sit to eat." When you see and sense in the spirit that something MUST be done because things are done or handled wrongly and you are saying, "Lord, this is not how things should be done," then God will place an anointing on you. It is not just the manner that matters most, but the matter is the most important. Most people spend hours tying to look outwardly better, smart, and neat more than they spend to prepare their hearts. David came and this time, "Behold here is the Lord's choice," no objection. When Jesus says, "YES," NO MAN, NO DEVIL, CAN SAY "NO." WHEN HE SAYS HE HAS BLESSED YOU, NO MAN CAN CURSE YOU. Desire and decide today to adorn your inner man, with what God is looking for -- a pure, broken and contrite heart God will not despise. God testifies of David, "a man after my own heart." Can God testify of you and purpose to choose to anoint you Today?

If you don’t have what to die for, do you really have what to live for? Truly live! Live true!

“ONE THING have I desired of the LORD; that will I seek after; that I may DWELL IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple… When Thou saidst, Seek ye My face; my heart said unto Thee: THY FACE, LORD, WILL I SEEK.”

PSALM 27: 4, 8 (KJV)

Our lives are full of our plans, purposes, intentions, and strategies. We are constantly planning ahead, seeing ourselves many years from now, imagining ourselves when we enter a certain position, ministry, job, etc. Thoughts like this always fill our hearts and minds. This is God’s Will and it should be so, but there is also a great danger in it. We must be careful not to live our whole life in the future ONLY. While pursuing our final destination from the Lord, we should follow the example of King David. (Jesus is the ultimate example.)

The Lord is more interested in the process of our maturing in His character and likeness, His gifts and fruit; His abilities and values, than in our final destination. As we can see clearly from this Bible passage, the Lord desires a daily life with Him. He wants us to seek Him daily in His Word and in prayer, to praise and worship Him daily, to be hungry for Him and His Presence daily, to inquire of Him daily, etc.

This kind of heart desire was the thing that separated David into a special category. He was a man after God’s own heart. He sinned and made more mistakes probably more than any other Bible character, but again, more than any other Bible character, his heart was always crushed before his Lord and Master. He lived to dwell in the House of the Lord ALL THE DAYS of his life, and the Lord saw to it that David completely fulfilled the will of God in his generation also. (Acts 13:36) Let us therefore live for the Lord every day of our life, giving Him all our love, worship, strength, life, ability, and commitment, and we will also fulfill all of Gods’ will in our own generation.

Rest in the Confidence of God

“There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the providence of Babylon,

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed’nego; these men o king have not regarded thee:

they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.”

DANIEL 3:12 (KJV)

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed’nego refused to worship the golden statue. They were fully aware of the king's rage and irrational behavior, so they knew that there was risk involved in disobeying him. But they believed that it was important to obey God than to compromise their beliefs to please a man, even the powerful king. These courageous young men held to their convictions in the face of tremendous pressure. Young or old, we can all learn from Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed’nego. Take a stand for God and hold to it, no matter what the personal cost. Even when the king threatened to throw these men into the furnace, they courageously stood up to him. They explained that they believed their God would keep them safe. But if He does not, they went on, we will never under any circumstance serve your gods or worship the golden statue you erected. (Daniel 3: 16-18)

In June 2003, the war entered Monrovia, Liberia and destroyed my home. My wife, the orphans and I were sleeping in the open air and eating grass for survival, and many times these poor orphans will asked me, “Is God still alive? Is He looking at all that we are going through?” I said continually to them, our God is more than living and at the right time, He will come down unto us. In our desperate situation, we stayed closer to God and continued to believe in Him for survival.

Praise God for Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Malone of the Heritage Baptist Church in the USA, who during the heat of the war in Liberia were able to put food on our table despite their distance. Where does that kind of courage come from? Faith. Everyone occasionally questions God's goodness. The only way to have courage in a crisis is to ask God to give pure faith. Even if my son does not recover from his terminal illness, I will believe in God's goodness. Even if my unemployment goes on another year, I will not doubt God's care for me. Even if I do not get into the college I want, I will not give up on God. In what area can you express this kind of faith today?

Those who value us are attracted to what is in our spirit;

those who envy us are discontent with themselves.

But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.  For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

MATTHEW 12:36, 37 (KJV)

Cursing, Clowning, and Carrying On…We all know more than our fair share of “Characters.”  Let us be careful in making clear distinctions between those people that we deem as “characters,” clowns, or COLORFUL individuals. They are not to be confused with those that have character, GODLY CHARACTER. Those that we know to be characters always say that they were just minding their own business, then trouble showed up and sought them out. The truth is that they brought the trouble with them when they arrived; the trouble is in them! “And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have to one another, as ye walk, and are sad? (Luke 24:17; KJV)

“Characters” make excuses for their bad behavior and their companions make excuses for them, enabling them in their folly, upholding them in their wrongdoing -- then laugh at them for “showing out.” “Characters” possess the traits of: cursing, clowning, and carrying on. They have a flair for telling people off, creating scenes in public to draw attention, and after they have embarrassed everyone around them, they blame it all on “Just having a bad day," "I woke up on the wrong side of the bed,” or "It wasn't my fault,"  or "It wasn't me!"  “A hot-tempered man must pay the penalty; if you rescue him once, you will have to do it again.”
(Proverbs 19:19; NIV)

Make no provisions for those that curse, clown, and carry on continuously. Many of them do KNOW better, but refuse to do better. If we, as God’s children and believers in Emmanuel Jesus Christ love people, we are to admonish and rebuke the “characters” we know. If they continue on in folly and rebellion, we are to break ties with them. “Be not deceived; evil communications corrupt good manners.”
(1 Corinthians 15:33; KJV)

As God’s prized sons and daughters, we are to uphold God’s principles and lead by example with standards of excellence and without compromise. Remember, behaviors are by-products of a mindset. Don’t get distracted by cursing, clowning, and carrying on. Ask God to heal them where they hurt.

Keep God moving in your life! Do the work of Jesus!

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also;

and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”

John14:12 (KJV)

Trains to Glory! Imagine that we have a million trains in our lifetime, which are on tracks heading to Heaven; heading to Glory. That is, a number of different trains all on different tracks, all heading to Glory. In your life right now as a “born again” Christian you have a number of trains moving in God’s Will to fulfill His Purposes in lives. 1 Corinthians 10:31

Examples of your trains: you are in school, you have a job, you go to church, you want to be a doctor, learn to play the piano, be a good parent, feed the hungry, help the homeless, shelter orphans, adopt a child, teach children, educate adults, or start a church, etc. These trains are on the tracks to Glory, but some have movement and others do not. Know this: With God there is movement! Waiting on the Lord is biblical, but when God does a thing there is movement. If a train is not moving, then the questions are: “Is this God’s Will for my life right now or later?” “Is this desire from God, self, or the powers of darkness?” “On which train is there movement in my life?”

When one of your trains in life stops moving, check to see:

1) If you are stopping it (I don’t like what I am doing, it takes up too much of my time or I don’t want to do what I may have to do.),

2) If the enemies of God are trying to stop it or has delayed it (one distraction after another or I dislike what an outside force is trying to impart into me.), or

3) If God has removed the tracks in front of your train temporarily or permanently (Something God does not want you to do right now, to do in a few months, or never to do.).

When your train stops for whatever reason, remember that you have a number of trains in your life. Go to the train, which has movement, and increase its speed. God is with that train and He is making sure it has fuel and that its direction is true. You have many trains in your life, which are heading to Glory. Do not allow the trains that are moving to stop because you are focused on a train, which is not moving. Keep all God’s trains in your life moving to not only bless you, but the lives you are carrying on God’s glory train. Push on to Heaven in God’s Glory Train!  Romans 11:36.

The righteous will live by faith.

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord—that is, always being superior (excelling, doing more than enough) in the service of the Lord, knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile—never wasted or to no purpose.”

1 CORINTHIANS 15:58 (AMP)

Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us. (Luke 11:13)

We put no stumbling block in anyone’s path, so that our ministry will not be discredited. Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; in beatings, imprisonment and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger; in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; known, yet regarded as unknown; dying and yet we live on; beaten and yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing and yet possessing everything. (2 Corinthians 6:3-10)

Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of God’s mercy to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of yourself. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is, His good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12)

Pray, ask, and give thanks until something happens. And don't forget to apply work!

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth;

and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

LUKE 11:10 (KJV)

Importunity. “And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” Luke 11:9 How many times have you prayed for something and gave up because it was taking too long to receive your answer? Many people give up so easily because of a lack of persistence. The blessings are just on the other side of the woods, across the stream or over the meadow.

But the Lord Jesus said we should always pray and never give up. “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” Luke 21:36 Apostle Paul in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says, “Pray without ceasing.” “Calleth those things which be not as though they were.” Romans 4:17

“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Mark 11:23 The Lord has heard your prayers, now move in thanksgiving. (Psalm 6:9) “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Philippians 4:6 The Lord has heard your prayers, now thank Him for the answer to your prayers and LOOK for the answer(s) to your prayers as they effect you and those around you. “Continue in prayer; and watch in the same with thanksgiving;” Colossians 4:2

Persistence in prayer will, like the widow in Luke 11, allow you to receive God's promises. Many times people give up just a while before their answer was to come. Wait on the Lord! Believe! and Don't give up!

We are really happy when we are loved,

but the main objective in life is for us to learn to love others.

“Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them,

and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude. And they did eat, and were all filled:

and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.”

LUKE 9:16, 17 (KJV)

If you have ever asked yourself the question, “How much should I give to the Lord Jesus?” The answer is in this verse. Jesus was with the disciples, and when the people found Him, there gathered a large multitude of over 5,000 men plus the women and children. The disciples wanted the Lord to dismiss the people so they could go and find something to eat. (Matthew 14:15-22) Jesus then gave them a better idea. He asked, How many loaves do you have? Go and see. They found 5 loaves and 2 fish. Jesus took them, looked up to Heaven and blessing them, brake the bread and all ate and were full and even much food remained. Why? Because that’s the perfect will of God for our provision.

Look, the Lord does not need our money, our tithes, offerings or sacrifices. He is walking on golden streets and His name is King of Kings. Our Lord wants us to surrender all that we have to Him (it may be 5 loaves or 5 houses), so He can bless them and when He returns them to us, we will be filled and not only us, but all those that are with us and even there will be a surplus (oversupply). Luke 6:38

Trust the Lord, surrender all that you have (not just your finances, but your family, ministry, job, friends, etc.) unto Him, so He can administrate it (govern and distribute it) in the most perfect way. He has everything and He loves to bless and give, so You and all these around you will be affected for the better by that decision of yours.

SURRENDER

Christ our Savior washes away the sins of all mankind,

and brings good relations of God to the world.

“Give ear to my words, O’ LORD, consider my meditation.

Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.”

PSALM 5:1,2 (KJV)

Sometimes many Christians always come to church every time donating (paying tithes and offering) to the house of God, helping the poor (volunteering in the community) and almost keeping the Ten Commandments. And yet they don’t receive their aims from God. They don’t receive (right now) what they believe should be the blessings from God for their lives. “Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait I say, on the LORD.” Psalm 27:14

And this makes them lack trust in faith. But they never ask their memory: “Why?” From our experiences and the Words of God, when you keep the Commandments and fail one, then satan have the power to judge you in front of God and say, “Look at the people You said You love. They commit sin more than I did. But You sent me out of Your Kingdom. But these people do more than I committed, but You forgive them.” “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Satan was sent out of Heaven because of pride (and rebellion), but God loves us so much that He forgives anything we do. “for a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again; but the wicked shall fall into mischief.” Proverbs 24:16  So to receive good from God we must confess our sins, all; live holy (1 Peter 1:16) and blessings will come!

When we truly know and love ourselves, then our self-image/

self-esteem won’t be shaped or shaken by the opinions of others.

“But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law;

ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of Hosts.

MALACHI 2:8 (KJV)

PROPHETS or PROFITS?   What is a Prophet? One who delivers Divine Messages or interprets the Divine Will of GOD. A chosen prophet of GOD bears a tremendous weight and responsibility to say only those things that GOD speaks through him/her for the edification of the body of Christ and the glory of God alone. The true prophets of God seek no glory for themselves: BOND SERVANTS whose only purpose is to please God.

There have always been self proclaimed/man-ordained “PROPHETS,” whose sole mission is to extort profits off the people of God. This is known as “RELIGIOUS ENTERPRISE on the Rise!” “Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Lord…” Deuteronomy 16:17 “Every man according as he purposes in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7

True prophets of the LORD are sent to set the houses in order, to edify the body of Christ through exhortation. God says that we shall know a TRUE PROPHET: his messages always come to pass. It is not the person’s word, but GOD’s WORD that never returns void. True prosperity comes from GOD. “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers.” 3 John 1:2

Ask God for spiritual discernment to see hidden things. Discernment, WISDOM, and Revelation Knowledge is a powerful combination that equips believers from becoming ensnared. “I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.” Jeremiah 17:10 Pray for all believers that are being mislead and pray for those that mislead the people, knowingly or unknowingly. They may be teaching those things they have been taught. Wisdom and prayer move and shake nations, setting the captives free.

Being a Servant to others is the greatest calling a person can function in!

“Just as our bodies are composed of many parts and all the parts are needed to form a complete body,

so is with Christ’s Body, the Church. It too is composed of many parts, and we are the parts.”

1 CORINTHIANS 12:12 (The Living Bible)

There is nothing greater a person can achieve in this life than to let the Love of the Lord fill his heart to such overflowing, that he becomes a servant to the other people. 1 Corinthians 13th chapter is very well known as the Love chapter in the Bible. It clearly shows that You can have the greatest ministry of faith and power on the Earth, and yet, without love – it will not be worth it. More than that – it will be counted as NOTHING (13:1-3).

There are so many Christians in the world today and yet, there is so much strife, anger, bitterness, hate and apathy towards each other. It’s no coincidence that the teaching about the Body in 1 Corinthians 12 precedes the Love chapter, because what better comparison can You find, between Love in all its qualities and all the parts of the Human Body?

The parts of the Human Body are patient and kind towards each other; they are never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud, never haughty or selfish or rude. They never demand their own way. They are not irritable or touchy. They do not hold grudges. They are always supportive, always giving all from themselves, so the other parts can reach their full potential. It can very well be said that they: “always believe, always hope and always endure”. If we are able to do that for the other parts of the Body of Christ – our brothers and sisters – our life will have the Divine value for which it has been given to us.

LOVE

The Power of One

"Noah was the only person who lived right and obeyed God."

GENESIS 6:9 (CEV)

The head of a large government department, when asked about reports of misbehavior by his staff, replied, "There may be one or two rotten apples." In the same way, not everybody goes along with a bad group or crowd. There are people in almost every group who will follow good direction and others who will follow a less good direction based on their life experiences, which they have thus far learned in life. “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold, in a frame of silver.” Proverbs 25:11

The people at the time of Noah had become cruel and violent. But one man remained faithful to God, upright and strong. It takes courage to go against the tide, especially when the tide is going out. Noah was that man. God’s deep purpose for the world was to bring hope, healing and life. He saw that Noah was the one person he could depend on to keep his lamp of truth shining. So God worked through Noah when all else was evil. Genesis 6:9

We are impressed by large numbers. God used the power of one to maintain his name and cause. He did so again in the time of Elijah, of Jeremiah and of Jesus. God can use one really good person to outweigh a mass of evil. By putting one truly faithful disciple in a situation of no hope, He can transform the whole scene. Just a grain of mustard seed can multiply and become a huge tree. Romans 5:19

The is no limit to what the power of God can do through one pure, holy, and dedicated person. 1 Peter 1:16  He may be needing to use you in your place of work, in your family situation, your club, church, village or town. WILL YOU HAVE THE COURAGE TO BE THAT ONE?

COURAGE

Stop Your Wicked Ways!

“A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.

Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.”

PROVERBS 6:12,15 (KJV)

Test the Spirits. It is important to separate ourselves from those who are moving in the spirit of evil. It is also important to recognize that which is evil around you or is displaying evil qualities, qualities which are not of God, or qualities which displease God. Pray for the individual(s).

“These six things doth the LORD hate; yea, seven are an abomination unto him:” Proverbs 6:16

1) “a proud look,…” Proverbs 6:17
Is one of your friends wearing a proud look? Do you wear a proud look? Remember, pride is followed by disobedience, then destruction; satan is the example.
2) “…a lying tongue…” Proverbs 6:17
Do you have a friend who constantly speak lies, knowingly or unknowingly? Do you have a habit of stretching the truth? You know that is lying too. Do you know someone who embellishes the truth to be a member of a group? Are you quick to answer with a lie, so you don’t get into any trouble? Gossip?
3) “…and hands that shed innocent blood,” Proverbs 6:17
God would not allow David to build His Temple because King David had too much blood on his hands. That is David, the man after the heart of God. He did not shed innocent blood, but for Uriah, the Hittite and his companions.  David was cleaning up Canaan like Joshua was supposed to do. Acts 13:22
4) “a heart that deviseth wicked imaginations…” Proverbs 6:18
Do your friends mock other people and make fun of them?  Gossip?
5) “…feet that be swift in running to mischief,” Proverbs 6:18
Do your friends plan to do the wrong things, not the strong things?
6) “a false witness that speaketh lies… Proverbs 6:19
Do your friends lie on people and you know it and have not brought it to their attention? If they do it to someone else, they will do it to you.  Gossip?
7) “…and he that soweth discord among brethren.” Proverbs 6:19

Gossip? Has someone at church or school lied about a brother(s) or sister(s) and you haven’t made a statement to everyone involved to correct it? To apologize for your mistake, to correct your part in it?

Have you wondered why you haven’t received that blessing you have been praying for? If you are doing these things above, you have to ask yourself: “Is the blessing I got or going to get from the Lord or from satan?” Be holy for the Lord is Holy! 1 Peter 1:16

Made Right by Faith.

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

ROMANS 10: 17 (KJV)

What makes Christianity unique among all the world religions is that a person is put right by God not by doing good deeds or religious work, but by faith in Jesus Christ. Every other religion or spiritual system teaches that the way to get back to God is through some kind of religious works. The Bible teaches that we are made right with God or justified through faith.

Look at some faithful men in the Bible. See how important it is to trust God Almighty.

First: is Abraham. His faith in God made him to be the father of faith and a best friend of God. God promised him (Abraham) a son at he and his wife’s old ages. He did not doubt God. He believed that God was going to do as He promised. So God made him father of many nations and in him many nations was going to be blessed, because of his faith. Galatians 3:9 and Galatians 3:6; says just because Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him righteousness.” Matthew 8:5-8 talks about faith projecting healing.

Second: the Centurion answered and said, “Look, I am not worthy for you to go under my roof, but just speak a word and my servant will be healed.” It was a lot of faith. Jesus Christ even said that He had never seen a person with such faith.

Third: look at the story of Job. His faith in God brought his healing and everything (his wealth) was restored unto him double by God. Job did not blame God for his sickness as we always do when we are having some problems.

Fourth: in the book of Mark 5:25-34 the lady with the issue of blood. She suffered for twelve unbroken years and in just an instant she was healed because of her faith in God. For she said, “if only I just touch his garment I shall be made well.” Mark 5: 28. In conclusion we must remember that our faith is found in Him (Jesus). He is “the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2) We must also remember that faith comes to us today in only one way- through the word of God. (Mark 1:40-42; 9:22,23)

Difference is not Division and Unity is not Uniformity.

"If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar:

for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?”

1 JOHN 4:20 (KJV)

Many Christians go to church every Sunday. They also attend church other days that they chose to serve their creator, God Jehovah. But many seem to forget the Mysteries of God and His Oracles. 1 John 5:3 God is Love and we must be people of Love as the children of the most high God. “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.” 1 John 4:7 In our churches, we sing, we praise, but we lack the most important thing; that is LOVE. We must love our neighbors, pray for our enemies, love our family and love even when it is the most difficult thing to do—LOVE.

How can we say we love God and hate our brothers? We cannot see God with our naked eyes, but we can see our brothers around us suffering with no one to love them. We must love not only the rich, but the poor as well; not only the boss, but the secretary. Let us love one another, so we can convince God that we love Him. It does not matter whether they are of the same denomination or not. He is still your brother, because DIFFERENCE is not DIVISION and UNITY is not UNIFORMITY.

Let us realize the love that God loves us with (Romans 8:39) and also the love we have for one another must be irrespective of color, ethnicity, race, socio-economic status, country, occupation, title or community.

God bless you as you spread the Love of God in the world He created and the world we steward. Create daily the world in which the LORD has planned for you, your family, your community and the whole world.

UNITY

Is the price of crucifixion not enough for your love?

“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.”

1 CORINTHIANS 6:19 (NIV)

Did you know that you are God’s temple (God’s house) and the Spirit of God dwells in you? (1 Corinthians 6:19) As a matter of fact, people have different understanding about God’s temple. (John 2:21)

Sometimes people look at the beauty, greatness, the magnitude, or the height of the cathedral, church, stadium or worship hall. People will often look at how many people are attending a worship service, if there is a big sound system, or if there are television cameras, or if the service is being televised. And other times, they are more critical about where other people go for fellowship, how much they give, what they wear, what kind of car the pastor is driving, how much livestock they own, how many buildings the church owns, or how much acreage they own. “But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.” 1 Timothy 6:11

It is good to think that we should have the best that life has to offer. Excellence should be a way of life. The Bible is clear about the temple. It is the person, not the structure of a building. If you believe with me, don’t you think that there is a great need for you to put clean God’s house? And remember God’s house is not supposed to be a center of hatred, malice, immoral practices, drug addiction and other evil works, but rather it should be holy, because even the Spirit God is holy and “..godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.” 1 Timothy 4:8  Keep yourself holy as the Bible says in Leviticus 19:2, “Be holy because I, the LORD your God, am holy.”

GODLINESS

Jesus will make you into someone who you NEVER believed possible!

Someone who you NEVER imagined!

“And now compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there. I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me . However I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace.”

ACTS 20:22-24 (NIV)

Our Lord is seeking people today whose hearts are free from the trappings of this world (Matthew 13:22) and who will love not their lives even unto death in order to serve HIM and bring in the great harvest before He returns to this earth. Are you willing? If you are not, then admit it and ask for the grace to be all He has called you to be.

The church of Jesus Christ is weak because many are lukewarm and have allowed the WORD OF GOD to be watered down to suit the modern world and the sin that so easily beset us all. Hebrews 21:1

Today my dear children of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords answer truthfully before our God and allow Him to change us into another Paul. Yes, you can be a brave soldier in the end time army. The One who called you is faithful and He will make you into all you NEVER dreamed possible.

“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2 (NIV)  Surrender today to His Lordship in your life and be transformed.

Fear and love the Lord?

"And we have known and believed the love that God has for us.

God is love, and he who abides in love, abides in God, and God in him."

1 JOHN 4:16 (NKJV)

We know how much God loves us and we have put our trust in Him. God is love and all who live in love, live in God and God lives in them. If God is love, why should we fear Him (like other scriptures say)? “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom:” Proverbs 9:10; “The fear of the LORD prolongeth days.” Proverbs 10:27; “By humility and fear of the LORD are riches, and honor, and life. ” Proverbs 22:4

God is a good, caring, loving God. He does not force anybody to do something. Fearing the Lord means respecting God. Respect His Word and His ways of doing things and not doing things—things that makes Him sad. 1 Corinthians 13, says it clearly; that chapter defines love, but since God is love, it also defines how God is.

1 John 4:18 says that perfect love casts out fear and who fears is not yet perfected in love. Sounds difficult, but it isn’t! By walking with God, reading His Word, talking to Him, we see that God loves us very much. He wants the best for us. He wants us to be happy and prosperous in everything. He wants to protect us from any danger.

God isn’t out there to kick us around when we do mistakes, or even sin. He doesn’t look for a way to beat us or punish us when we are having a good time. (The world wants us to think that.) When we know this, we have no reason to fear whatever happens to us. We know that our "Daddy" is there to watch over us. This way the devil can’t mislead us to believe bad things will happen. What bad things could happen to us when God is there? Perfect love casts out fear. “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18

Great isn’t it!

PERFECT LOVE

OVERCOMERS MINISTRY

By welcoming, understanding, and giving support to one another in love, we learn to view our problems from a proper perspective. As we submit ourselves to the Lord and as we help one another become stronger, we find that our problems lose their power to dominate our thoughts and lives, and we begin to truly overcome. "Then the just and upright will answer Him, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and gave You food, or thirsty and gave You something to drink? And when did we see You a stranger and welcomed and entertained You, or naked and clothed You? And when did we see You sick or in prison and came to visit You?'"
